Baltimore Ravens 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 21, 2008

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a pretty poor season in which they finished 5-11 at the bottom of the AFC North. The team was the 8th worse team in the whole league, which means they get the 8th pick in this year’s draft. Things went from bad to worse when Steve McNair announced his retirement, meaning Kyle Boller is back in the starting lineup and will likely get another shot at leading the team to victory. The team has only added two new faces in LB Brendon Ayanbadejo and CB Frank Walker....

Cincinnati Bengals 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 21, 2008

Last year had to be a tough one if you are a Bengals fan, the team collapsed at the end of the 2006 season to miss the playoffs by one game. They looked like a team that was just about to get things rolling, and then they went 7-9 in 2007 and finished behind the Cleveland Browns for 3rd in the AFC North. To add to the struggles the team best play maker in Chad Johnson doesn’t sound like he wants to play for the Bengals anymore. This would be a huge hit to a team that has to score to win games....

Cleveland Browns 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 21, 2008

The Cleveland Browns were the surprise team last season as they were so close to making the playoffs for the first time since 2002. They tied the Steelers for the best record in the AFC North at 10-6, but wound up missing out because of a tiebreaker. That just goes to show how hard the AFC can be, as it seems its becoming more of regularity for a 10-6 team to miss out on the playoffs. The Browns have been fairly quit this offseason but have added some solid pieces in OG Rex Hadnot, DT Shaun Rogers,...

Pittsburgh Steelers 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 21, 2008

The Pittsburgh Steelers first season without former head coach Bill Cowher was a pretty good start to the Mike Tomlin era. They ended up finishing the season at 10-6 tied with the Cleveland Browns for the best record out of the AFC North. The Steelers edged out Cleveland by a tiebreaker and went on to the playoffs, where they lost a close one to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Steelers haven’t been that busy this offseason as they have only added 3 new faces from last years team. They added LB...

St. Louis Rams 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

The St. Louis Rams were one of the most disappointing teams in the league last season as they finished the season at a poor 3-13, for the 2nd worst record in the NFL. Things just didn’t seem to click as QB Marc Bulger threw 4 more interceptions than touchdowns, and RB Steven Jackson was no where near the numbers he is expected to put up. The defense wasn’t much to speak for either, as it finished in the bottom of the league in both pass and rush defense. The one bright spot out of all...

San Francisco 49ers 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

A lot went bad last season for the San Francisco 49ers and it led to a 5-11 record. They spent most of the season without starting QB Alex Smith, and RB Frank Gore didn’t have the break out year that everyone was expecting him to have. The 49ers finished the season with the worst overall offense, and the 26th worst defense, so there is no question the team has a lot of places that need some improvement. The team has made some improvements with the addition of WR Isaac Bruce, WR Bryant Johnson,...

Seattle Seahawks 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

The Seahawks were pretty solid in 2007, but never really seemed like they were a dominant team that would make a run for at another game in the Super Bowl. The team did finish 10-6, but it was in the weak NFC West. They were able to beat Washington in the first round of the playoffs, but got man handled by the Packers in the second round. The team has went out and landed running backs T.J. Duckett and Julios Jones, meaning they are probably ready to part ways with Shawn Alexander. They did lose LB...

Arizona Cardinals 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

The Arizona Cardinals were expected to be a much better team in 2007, but could never really get things going for a long period of time and wound up finishing the season at 8-8. The spent much of the second half of the season without Matt Leinart, but didn’t have to bad of backup in Kurt Warner. While Warner was solid in 2007, they need Leinart to be the guy many people believe he can be. The team’s biggest offseason move came in the signing of DE Travis LaBoy. On the other side of things...

Tennessee Titans 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

The Tennessee Titans might have finished 3rd in the NFC South at 10-6, but they were still good enough in the AFC to make it to the playoffs as a wild card team. They didn’t last long as they were sent home after a first round loss to the San Diego Chargers. The Titans have made some key offseason additions so far in TE Alge Crumpler, DE Jevon Kearse, and OG Jake Scott. The team was hit pretty hard on the defensive side of things when DE Travis LaBoy, DE Antwan Odom, and DT Randy Starks. So...

Houston Texans 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

The Houston Texans made huge strides in 2008 as they finished the season at 8-8. Though that was only good enough for 4th place in the AFC South, its good to see this team finishing at .500 or better. The team seemed find an answer at QB with Matt Schaub, and a big time playing make receiver in Andre Johnson. The team has spent the offseason bringing in guys like CB Jacques Reeves, LB Kevin Bentley, RB Chris Brown. Though these additions will help the team to get better in 2008, they still have some...

Jacksonville Jaguars 2008 NFL Draft Needs - April 19, 2008

The Jacksonville Jaguars were pretty impressive last season as they finished up the regular season at 11-5, but were still a couple games behind the division leading Indianapolis Colts. So far the Jaguars have been pretty busy this offseason, they have picked up WR Jerry Porter, WR Troy Williamson, CB Drayton Florence, and QB Cleo Lemon. On the other hand they did see some big names from last season find other places to play. They traded away DT Marcus Stroud, and lost CB Aaron Glenn, backup QB Quinn...
