2009 Super Bowl Odds
Written December 31, 2008 by Jack Jones

With the NFL playoffs fast approaching it’s time to take a look at the 2009 Super Bowl odds on who is going to win it all, which teams are going to make it, and everything else that you can do NFL betting on before the post-season begins. We are going to pull all of our odds from BetUS, a fine book that offers up to 135% in signup bonuses. If you want to know more reasons we bet at BetUS, then read our BetUS review.
Odds to Win the AFC
The favorites to win the AFC are the two teams with first round byes. Both the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers are listed at +225, which means a $100 bet would net you $225 in profits if they make it to the Super Bowl. Indianapolis is a close third at +400, while their opponents this weekend, the San Diego Chargers, are at +650. The Baltimore Ravens aren’t getting much love from the NFL odds makers as they are listed at +700 while the Miami Dolphins are the long shot at +1200. It’s surprising to see the Chargers as more of a favorite than the Ravens, and the Dolphins have been a long shot all year, so it doesn’t surprise us that they still aren’t getting much respect.
Odds to Win the NFC
There aren’t really any surprises here. The New York Giants are listed at +110 to win the NFC and head back to the Super Bowl, while the Carolina Panthers have the second best odds at +250. The fact that the Philadelphia Eagles are +600 and have the third best odds may surprise some people. After all this is the sixth seed who was the last team to make it into the post-season. The Atlanta Falcons are showing up at +800 while their opponent this week, the Minnesota Vikings, are showing some decent value at +1200. With Arizona’s 8-8 record and questionable finish the fact that they are the dark horse to win the NFC at +1800 shouldn’t come as a surprise.
