2010 Odds to Win the NCAA Basketball Tournament: Richmond
Written March 17, 2010 by Anthony Moretti
Richmond is the #7 seed this year in the NCAA tournament’s South Region. The Spiders finished 3rd in the Atlantic 10 this year with a 13-3 conference record and earned a 26-8 record overall. Richmond’s biggest wins this year include victories over Florida, Temple, and Xavier. Richmond won their first two games in the A-10 conference tournament, but lost in their next round to Temple. BetUS Sportsbook has posted the odds for every team in the field to win the tournament and they show Richmond as a 300 to 1 shot.
The Spiders are slotted to play the #10 seed St. Mary’s Gaels in the first round. Oddsmakers are expecting a close game with the most recent NCAA basketball lines showing Richmond as a 2 point favorite. The over/under in the game has also been posted and is currently set at 134.5 points. If the Spiders do advance to the second round, they’ll be set to play the winner of Villanova and Robert Morris. For betting on college basketball during the tournament, I recommend taking advantage of the $500 match bonus from BetUS. Just open a new account and deposit $500 or more to qualify!
