5Dimes Sportsbook Review

Written April 23, 2009 by Jack Jones

5dimes-sportsbook-reviewDeposits: 5Dimes offers as many deposit/withdrawal methods of any sportsbook online today.  If you have an account with a 3rd party payment processor, it is very likely that you will be able to deposit with 5Dimes.  They accept Moneybookers, Click2Pay, and eWalletXpress, as well as NETeller (for non-U.S. customers only).  If you do not have an account with one of these services, and do not want one, that’s ok, this book still offers a number of funding options for your sportsbook account.  5Dimes is one of the few books that does not accept Visa or Mastercard deposits, but never fear, odds are that you will be satisfied with one of their other methods.  All of your options to deposit are free, including electronic checks, wire transfers, or check via courier, and you also have the option to send cash via a services similar to Western Union or MoneyGram, you’ll just need to contact their live help line or online chat help for details on how to send cash to 5Dimes.  Their minimum deposit is $50.  It is a little bit disappointing that you can’t use a credit or debit card to fund your account, but there are enough options here to satisfy most serious bettors.

Withdrawals: You basically have the same options for cashing out with this book as you do for depositing, but there is a catch, 5Dimes charges a fee for almost any withdrawal you make from the book.  The standard withdrawal to a payment processor is going to cost you $15, while wire transfers will cost you a pretty penny at $55 a pop.  I was definitely disappointed with 5Dimes‘ withdrawal policies.  They offer some of the best odds and reduced juice of any sportsbook, so this does not keep me from holding an account with them, however, if I had to pick the weakest aspect of 5Dimes it would have to be their withdrawal options.

Customer Service: 5Dimes has great customer service.  They are easy to contact via e-mail, live online help, or over the phone, plus they have an easy-to-use FAQ section that will answer the majority of your questions so you never even need to contact them.

Bonuses & Promotions: If you are thinking about signing up with 5Dimes, now is the time to do it.  They currently have their Fabulous 50 bonus running, meaning if you sign up for a new account and fund it, you’re going to get a 50% cash bonus to bet with, up to $200.  That means you would just need to deposit $400 to have a $600 sportsbook account to bet with.  The Fabulous 50 is a great promo, but 5Dimes also offers one of the best reload bonuses of any book I’ve seen.  When you add funds to your account, as long as you deposit a minimum of $250, you are going to get a 20% bonus.  With this promo you can deposit as much as $2,500 to get $500 in free money to bet with.  There is no question that 5Dimes has one of the most generous rewards program going right now.
