Air Force at Minnesota Football Picks

Written September 12, 2009 by Jack Jones

Air Force Minnesota FootballNot one of the bigger games in terms of media coverage, but a lot of our football handicappers feel like they see some value in the college football odds posted on the Air Force at Minnesota game (Gophers are 3 point favorites).  If you are looking for winning football picks that will help deliver more profits to your bankroll via college football betting then take a look at who is on this game below.  If you are looking for a great place to place your action on the game, take a look at the 20% signup bonus offered to our readers by Bookmaker!

Ben Burns has his Big TV Blowout with his Annihilator play on the Air Force/Minnesota spread.  He is 11-3 on his last 14 in college football and he went a PERFECT 5-0 on last Saturday’s card.  He thinks this is going to be a one-sided beat down and you can cash easily by signing up with him tonight.

A couple of guys have free football picks on this game, and they are two of the best handicappers on our site.  John Martin says to take Air Force: Air Force is one of the better teams in the MWC that nobody is talking about. That’s because this conference is so stacked, that Air Force is picked to finish 4th in the league with teams like BYU, TCU and Utah ahead of them. All Air Force did in their Week 1 game was beat Nicholls State 72-0 while putting up 474 rushing yards. I don’t care if they were playing a high school team, that’s still impressive. Minnesota went into Syracuse last week as a 7-point favorite and were lucky to escape with a 23-20 win in overtime. They won’t be so fortunate this week because Air Force is the real deal. The Falcons are 11-0 ATS when the total is between 42.5 and 49 over the last 3 seasons. Air Force is 8-0 ATS after playing a non-conference game over the last 3 seasons. The Falcons are 9-1 ATS llowing 14 points or less last game over the last 3 seasons. Cash in with Air Force as the underdog.

Freddy Wills is another guy you can trust to deliver for you week in and week out.  He also says to take the points and Air Force: Going with Air Force on Saturday in a match up that will take place in Minnesota’s new home which is state of the art. Why am I on Air Force if Minnesota is going to be pumped up for this one? Well for one thing just because you are supposed to win a game does not mean you are going to.. we have all learned that many times! In this game I believe Minnesota will struggle with the triple option that Air Force runs and they might be already looking ahead to California who they face next. Air Force did put up 72 points against Nichols State, but none the less it was a tune up and Minnesota looked bad against Syracuse and should have lost the game. Paulus looked very mobile against the Minnesota front line, and if they can’t make Paulus look bad then I believe Tim Jefferson will have a field day and do whatever he wants although he does not pass much. I like Air Force to be able to run the ball well which is what happens in the triple option when you have a team that is over aggressive and with the adrenalin in for Minnesota because of it being the first game in their new stadium look for Air Force to quiet the crowd once again early. Air Force is 16-8 ATS in their last 2 years under Calhoun.
