Baylor at Nebraska Football Betting Spread

Nebraska finally got a break from playing some stiff competition last week and they took full advantage, beating Iowa State 35-7. Baylor enters this game losing three of their last for games, including blowout losses to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. That’s one of the reasons the college football lines are so high on this one, with Oklahoma being listed as an 11-point favorite over Baylor.

Nebraska brings to the table a high powered offense. The Huskers are averaging over 33 points a game and they face a below average Baylor defense. Baylor is giving up 39 points per game in their four losses.

Joe Ganz has been as good as advertised for Nebraska. Ganz has thrown for close to 2,000 yards and has tossed 12 touchdowns, while running for three more. Ganz’s favorite two targets on the year have been Nate Swift and Todd Peterson. The two have combined for 67 receptions and six touchdowns. The Nebraska passing attack will have a big day against a Baylor defense that gives up over 220 passing yards per game.

Nebraska might have their most success on the ground against Baylor. The Bears are giving up 147 rushing yards per game. Nebraska is very deep at the running back position. Marlon Lucky, the number one back on this team, has rushed for 372 yards and six touchdowns. Roy Helu and Quentin Castille also get plenty of work from the running back position. Helu and Castille have combined for 485 yards and five touchdowns. Look for this potent rushing attack to run all over Baylor.
