Best Of Las Vegas

If you want a list of what’s the best of Las Vegas then this is the article for you. We are sure that you are going to have a great time in Sin City no matter what you do, but why do anything second rate. Make sure you hit up all of these hot spots for the activities that you are planning and you’ll have plenty of great stories to take home.Best Poker Room – Wynn Las Vegas

A relative newcomer to the Vegas poker scene, Wynn offers 26 tables of poker that’s suited to all types of games and skill levels. The room is consistently ranked by players as the best in the city and scores kudos for overall comfort and elegance, the knowledge of the dealers, the location (right next to the parking garage for easy access), and the Shuffle Master machines that speed up the pace of the game.

According to its web site, the Wynn Poker Room holds three No Limit Hold’em tournaments each week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Buy-in is $300 plus $30.

Best Pool – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Sandy beaches, palm trees and beautiful people. That’s what you’ll find at the Hard Rock pool, the hottest wet spot in Vegas.

The place to hang if you’re young and deep pocketed – or even if you just want to pretend – the Hard Rock pool is the perfect daytime destination. And for those who love to gamble but love the desert sun more, simply swim over to the poolside blackjack tables and play a few hands. That’s right, you can gamble in the pool. Vegas, baby.

Best Buffet – Bellagio Hotel & Casino

Don’t expect the standard 99-cent grub here. This is buffet dining at its finest. Would you expect anything less from the Bellagio?

Try the Beef Wellington, the salmon sashimi, the Alaskan crab legs, the grilled Mako shark…in fact, try everything! But do leave room for dessert and don’t leave your wallet at home. On Fridays and Saturdays, the cost of the Bellagio buffet is $31.95 per person.

Best Show – Avenue Q

Avenue Q is a Broadway musical that uses puppets to parody the world of Sesame Street. Sounds, uh, interesting, right? Well, in September, Steve Wynn brought it to his $40-million theater at Wynn Las Vegas, so there must be something to it.

Chalk full of laughs (the puppets sing about Internet porn during one segment, need we say more), it won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Musical and was hailed by the New York Times as “A breakthrough musical” and by The New Yorker as “Wicked fun for grownups”.

Best “Scenery” – Rain Nightclub, the Palms Casino Resort

It’s not just the fireballs and water fountains that capture the senses at Rain. It’s the people. Home to celebrities, models and the richest of the rich, stepping into Rain is like stepping into a Hollywood fantasy.

The 1,500-capacity nightclub was a key setting for MTV’s The Real World and even includes “skyboxes” for rent. With cachet like that, it’s no wonder Rain was chosen to host last year’s Bodog Party.

Now you have our list of the things we consider to be the best of Las Vegas. Whether you are making your trip now or plan on waiting for a little while, plan on hitting up each of these spots to complete your experience.
