Blazers Blake Out With Pneumonia
Written January 3, 2010 by Jason Lowry
The Portland Trail Blazers have already lost a number of players due to injury this season, and the list just got a little longer. ESPN is reporting that guard Steve Blake has been hospitalized with pneumonia, and figures to be out for awhile. On top of that forward LaMarcus Aldridge sprained his ankle in Wednesday’s game against the Clippers, and will likely miss a couple games.
Other members of the injury list include Rudy Fernandez, Greg Oden, Joel Przybilla, and Travis Outlaw. Even with all the injury problems the Blazers continue to win, and as of now sit tied with the Denver Nuggets on top of the Northwest division. A big reason for the Blazers success is they still have Brandon Roy in the lineup, as he is averaging just under 23 points a game.
If you are betting on the NBA, be sure to keep a close eye on the NBA odds for the Trail Blazers, as this team could find itself in a slump if they keep losing players to injuries. These injuries will likely add a lot of minutes to those still healthy enough to play, and sooner or later their legs are likely to tire.
