Bodog Questions & Answers

Some people and sites out there really harp on Bodog, but I think it is an excellent book if you are either new to sports betting or shop around for lines.  Let’s take a look at some of the reasons people don’t like Bodog and why I think those shortcomings are overblown.  Sign up for a new account at Bodog and get FREE premium service from our handicappers if you tell them our site sent you!

Late lines

Sure they don’t post the lines the night before, but most of the action comes in late.  Why do they wait?  So other books that take the sharp action can tighten up the lines before they post.  With money lines you might not see one if the game has a spread of less than three.  If this is a problem then make sure you have other options or use another book.

Low limits

For NFL games the limits on sides are $2,000 and for totals it is $1,000.  With the NBA sides are $1,000 and totals are $500.  For some of you this might be under what you like to bet, but for 99% of the people with action I don’t think you are going to run into much trouble with these limits.  If you do on rare occasions make a bet higher than these limits, call into customer service and they will probably take the action.

Why I Love Bodog

The first reason is the underdog lines.  Bodog takes a lot of public action and the public loves favorites and popular teams.  This means if you are shopping around you can always get a good number on underdogs or if you want to bet against teams like the Colts, Cowboys, or Lakers.

They have a big poker room.  If you like to sit at the tables, you can use one account for a very nice online poker experience.

Their bonuses are unlimited and come with a low rollover.  You will see some books with bigger bonus structures, but most of the time they are limited in how much free money they give and it usually comes in the form of free plays instead of cash to your account.

Best of All

They have never missed a payment!  No worries about getting stiffed here as they will always get you your money.  What more can you ask for than that kind of security?
