Super Bowl Betting: Anquan Boldin Props
Written January 29, 2009 by Jason Lowry

If you are Anquan Boldin it couldn’t be a better time to get back to full strength, as the Arizona Cardinals get ready to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl this weekend. Bolding got hurt after his 71 yards touchdown catch against the Falcons back in the first round, and the injury kept him out of the divisional round against the Panthers and really limited him in the NFC Championship game against the Eagles. Still Boldin is second on the team with 106 receiving yards, and is the only other receiver besides Larry Fitzgerald to catch a touchdown pass. For those that don’t follow the Cardinals, Boldin quietly had one of the best seasons of any receiver grabbing 89 passes for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns in just 12 games this season, and had he been able to stay healthy it could be Boldin getting all the praise and not Fitzgerald. With Boldin’s contract up after the season, this could be the last game he plays in a Cardinals uniform. For those of you looking to do a little NFL betting on the Super Bowl, here is a look at the prop bets for Anquan Boldin at Sportsbook.com.
Total Receiving Yards: Over 68.5 (-115) Under 68.5 (-115)
We are big on Boldin going into the Super Bowl, and with all the attention likely facing Larry Fitzgerald, we think that if the Cardinals win, it will be Boldin that has the big game. So with that said its pretty easy to see that we think Boldin easily goes over 69 yards in the Super Bowl.
Total Receptions: Over 5.5 (-130) Under 5.5 (Even)
Again, we think that Boldin is going to really give the Steelers trouble in this one, and if you can remember back to the regular season Boldin was actually Warner’s favorite target when he was healthy. The fact that this guy had 4 catches with a bum leg in the NFC Championship game, is reason enough to think he hauls in close to 7 in the Super Bowl.
Longest Reception: Over 18.5 (-115) Under 18.5 (-115)
This seems like another easy one, as Boldin is great after the catch, and this guy nearly took one for 50+ against the Eagles as he was wide open in the middle, but Warner was unable to hit him in stride. We think Boldin at least has a catch go for 25 yards in this one.
Will He Score a Touchdown: Yes (+140) No (-180)
The fact that this guy scored 11 touchdown in 12 games this season, is pretty much reason enough to take the odds and play the numbers on this one. Either way the Cardinals aren’t going to be able to run the football, and if they are winning or losing they are going to get the majority of their scores through the air. We look for Boldin to grab at least one touchdown in this one, and wouldn’t be surprised to see him grab 2.
Total Receiving Yards on First Reception: Over 9.5 (-115) Under 9.5 (-115)
We are finally going to go under on one of Boldin’s prop bets for the Super Bowl, as we see him grabbing a 5-6 yard catch for a first down on the opening series or two before he hits them with a big play later in the game.
