Marshall Staying in Denver?
Written February 8, 2010 by Jason Lowry
As the 2009 regular season was winding to a close it looked as though the Denver Broncos had reached the final straw with wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Since then everyone has pretty much assumed that the Broncos would trade Marshall, but another twist has been added to this story. According to ESPN, after a meeting with owner Pat Bowlen, Marshall says he wants to stay in Denver.
Though this appears like good news for Bronco’s fans, it’s not as good as you might think. Bowlen also mentioned that if head coach Josh McDaniels feels like the team is better without Marshall, he will back his coach and Marshall will be out the door.
This is a very interesting decision the Broncos have to make this offseason, as it’s never easy trading away a player with as much talent as Marshall, but then again if he is ruining the chemistry it might be best for the team to let him go. Either whichever way the Broncos go will have a big impact on their NFL odds for next season.
