NFL Playoffs: Bad Beats

The hardest part of NFL betting is dealing with losses, especially when they are right side losers. That was the case on Saturday with my NFL picks, as I ended the day with a 1-2 outcome, despite having the right plays on both games. Let’s take a look at how my Saturday NFL selections turned out. Sunday Night NFL Pick: Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers

The NFL game that I want to watch the most this week is the AFC West championship game between Denver and San Diego.  Ed Hochuli may once again be able to show his face in the city of San Diego if the Chargers pull out the win.  He made the worst mistake of all officials this season back in the earlier match-up between these two teams which cost San Diego the game.  I have heard several different opinions on this game, as oddsmakers put out an interesting line of San Diego -9.  Before the line...

The Bucs need a win and a Dallas loss this week to be in the playoffs.  I think they beat the Raiders in Tampa, but the 12.5 spread seems a little high for a team that has not been very productive on offense lately.  Bucs 17, Raiders 7. Detroit tries to avoid becoming the first 0-16 team in NFL history at the Packers this week.  The Packers are 9.5 point favorites and I think they’ll easily defeat the Lions, 28-16. Thursday night Indianapolis should march to their 8th straight win this week as the visit the Jacksonville Jags.  The Colts still aren’t guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, the Jags are guaranteed to be staying home this post-season.  Colts win and cover 28-17. Saturday the Ravens visit the Cowboys.  It’s the last game EVER for the Cowboys in Texas Stadium, plus they are fighting hard for a playoff spot.  The way they played on offense and defense last week, I like the Cowboys to win... 

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets- NFL Free Pick

Conditions are likely to be cold and snowy for this one. With that being said, look for both teams to run the ball early and often, as Buffalo does that more than enough without snow. Both teams enter this game coming off losses in which they really struggles to move the football. Expect a very sloppy and close game in this one.  The Over/Under for the Jets/Bills is set at 41 points on Sunday. The Bills have scored just three points in each of their last two games. Week 15 NFL Football Picks & Predictions

The Saints and the Bears both need wins pretty badly this Thursday, but neither team has a ton of momentum at the moment.  The Saints are just 1-5 on the road this year, while the Bears stand at 4-2 at home on the season.  I’ll take the Bears -3 with a final of 23-14. With the Packers and the Jags meeting this Sunday, I’ll pick the Pack to get back on track on the road this week 31-16. Starting off this week early, in Thursday night NFL game I’m taking the Oakland Raiders +9.5 against San Diego.  The Raiders have been awful, this is true, but the Chargers aren’t winning me over with their 4-8 record either.  There’s definitely something missing in San Diego, but they can’t seem to figure out what it is.  Chargers still win 17-10, but the Raiders cover the spread. There’s really no way I can bring myself to bet on the Bengals this year, even as 10.5 point dogs, so the play on Thursday night has to be the Steelers by two touchdowns, 28-14.
