This Tuesday the Tennessee Volunteers will look to snap a two game losing streak when they host the USC Trojans at Thompson-Boling Arena. UNLV vs Kansas State - December 20, 2010

The No. 11 Kansas State Wildcats will look to bounce back from a 57-44 loss at Florida when they take on the UNLV Rebels this Tuesday. The Wildcats, now 9-2, shot just 27% (15-55) against the Gators, and have really been struggling with their shot lately. UNLV snapped a two game losing streak with a 72-50 win against Southern Utah on Saturday, their first win since starting the season 9-0. Our college basketball odds for this game have the Wildcats favored by 3.5-points over the Rebels. This is going...

Kansas State at Florida - December 17, 2010

This Saturday the No. 6 Kansas State Wildcats will once again be tested early in the season as they are set to take on the No. 24 Florida Gators, in the Metro PCS Orange Bowl Classic at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, FL. The Wildcats played three ranked teams in just a weeks time earlier this season, beating then No. 24 Virginia Tech and No. 12 Gonzaga, but did lose 82-68  to the top ranked Duke Blue Devils. The Wildcats are 9-1, but it still doesn’t seem like this team is playing as...

North Carolina vs. Texas - December 17, 2010

This Saturday the No. 25 Texas Longhorns will get a big test when they take on the North Carolina Tar Heels at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Both teams were expected to be in the top 10 this season, and still could be, but haven’t exactly got off to the start that many people thought they would. Texas 8-2, with a bad loss at USC (73-56), while the Tar Heels are just 7-3, after starting the season ranked No. 9 in the country. The college basketball odds have not yet...

Kent State at Florida - December 8, 2010

This Thursday the No. 24 Florida Gators (6-2) will host the Kent State Golden Flashes (5-2), in the first ever meeting between these two schools. The Gators bounced back from a disappointing loss at UCF last week, with a 67-48 win over American on Sunday. Florida really hasn’t been tested all that much this season, their only game against a ranked team was Ohio State, and they lost 93-75. The Golden Flashes may be 5-2, but they haven’t exactly played the toughest competition. The Golden...

Georgetown at Temple - December 8, 2010

Thursday night No. 9 Georgetown (8-0) will get a big time test when they go on the road to take Temple (5-2). The Owls are 33-6 on their home court since the beginning of the 2007 season. Head coach Fran Dunphy will be looking for his 400th career win, giving his players extra motivation to beat the undefeated Hoyas. Temple has a good history against the Hoyas, going 21-14, but this is a very talented team that Georgetown sends out to the floor. Georgetown is led by Big East Pre-season Player of...

Bradley at Duke - December 8, 2010

This Wednesday the No.1 Duke Blue Devils will host the Bradley Braves out of the Missouri Valley. The big story surrounding this game is the fact that Duke freshman point guard Kyrie Irving will likely not play in this game, thanks to a toe injury he suffered in the second half against Butler. The Blue Devils figures to have too much talent for the Braves to keep it close, but it will be interesting to see how this team looks without one of their best young players. Irving is averaging 17.4 points,...

Notre Dame vs Kentucky - December 8, 2010

This Wednesday No.23 Notre Dame will face off against No. 16 Kentucky in the SEC/Big East Invitational. Even though Kentucky is rated higher in the standings, it is Notre Dame that comes into the game with a perfect 8-0 record. The game will be played at Freedom Hall, the former home court of the Louisville Cardinals. Freedom Hall is just about an hour from Kentucky’s campus, so look for the majority of the crowd to be cheering for the Wildcats. Notre Dame brings a ton of experience to the table,...

North Carolina State at Syracuse - December 3, 2010

This Saturday the seventh-ranked Syracuse Orange will look to remain unbeaten when they host the North Carolina State Wolfpack in non-conference action. The Orange have faced a pretty tough schedule to start the 2010 season, but head coach Jim Boeheim is anything but pleased with the way his team is playing. Boeheim called out his team after a 78-58 win over Cornell on Tuesday. The Orange jumped out to a 21-point lead in the first half, but turned on the cruise control in the second half and really...

Alabama at Purdue - December 3, 2010

Purdue will get its toughest game to date when they host Alabama this Saturday. These two teams faced off last season, and the Crimson Tide jumped out to an early lead, before allowing the Boilermakers to fight back take home the win. The Boilermakers were considered to be a National Title contender this season, but the loss of senior forward Robbie Hummel to another injury has this team back in the middle of the pack. The Boilermakers have started the 2010 season with a pretty easy schedule and...

Kansas State at Washington State - December 3, 2010

The Washington State Cougars will seek revenge on the Kansas State Wildcats tonight when the two teams square off in the Big 12/ Pac-10 Hardwood Series. Kansas State comes in ranked no. 5 in the country with a 6-1 record, but head coach Frank Martin hasn’t exactly been pleased with the way his team has played so far this season. Washington State comes in with a perfect 5-0 record, but haven’t exactly played anyone, and are hoping that a win over a team like Kansas State will get them...

2010-11 Colorado College Basketball Predictions - November 18, 2010

Former Colorado head coach Jeff Bzdelik bolted for Wake Forest this past Spring, but he actually left behind a quality team in Boulder. Colorado went 15-16 last season and they have not been to the NCAA Tournament since 2003. Still, with what new head coach Tad Boyle has to work with gives the Buffaloes hope to end this drought. Boyle came over from Northern Colorado and managed to keep around the three key players that led Colorado last season. Last year’s Big 12 Freshman of the Year in Alec Burks...

2010-11 Wisconsin NCAA Basketball Predictions - November 15, 2010

The Wisconsin Badgers exceeded expectations last year, going 24-9 overall and finished just one game out of a share for the Big Ten regular-season title at 13-5. The Badgers however struggled to perform in postseason play. After being knocked out in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, the fourth-seeded Badgers were bounced from the NCAA Tournament in the second round by Cornell. It was the third time in the last four years that the Badgers were beat by a lower-seeded team in the NCAA Tournament. Wisconsin...

2010-11 Ohio State NCAA Basketball Predictions - November 15, 2010

The Ohio State Buckeyes finished the 2009-10 season 29-8, wining both the Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles, and made it to the Sweet 16 before falling to Tennessee 76-73. The Buckeyes were led by the consensus player of the year Evan Turner, who averaged 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists a game, but Turner is now playing with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Buckeyes enter the 2010-11 season counting on what many consider to be the nation’s top recruiting class to lead them...

2010-11 Purdue College Basketball Predictions - November 15, 2010

The Purdue Boilermakers 2009-10 season ended with a loss to Duke in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, but with three extremely talented seniors back and a great nucleus of young talent, the Boilermakers were thinking National Championship this season. Those expectations took a dramatic turn for the worse, as senior forward Robbie Hummel re-injured his knee and will be out for the season. There is no question that Purdue is a better team with Hummel on the floor, but they know what its like to...

2010-2011 Memphis Basketball Predictions - November 9, 2010

Last season was without a doubt a year of transition for the Memphis Tigers basketball program. Under first-year head coach Josh Pastner, the Tigers sputtered to a 24-10 record and fell just shy of being invited to the NCAA Tournament, instead ending up in the NIT tournament to close out the season. While they may have struggled to win games last year, they definitely are moving forward instead of going backwards, as they brought down one of the top recruiting classes in the NCAA for this year. With...

Duke vs. Butler Championship Game Predictions - April 5, 2010

After a season with much excitement and a whole lot of parity, we’ve finally reached the NCAA Championship game. The hometown Butler Bulldogs will play in Indianapolis against the Duke Blue Devils. Butler reaching this point is a major shock given that they come from such a small conference and were given an extremely tough road to the Final Four. Duke was the #1 seed in their region, but many experts did doubt them. Both teams have proved they deserve to be here. Who will step up on Monday...

2010 Final Four Preview: Head Coaching - April 1, 2010

Despite the lack of NBA Draft lottery talent and the biggest-named teams, there are still a whole lot of reasons why this Final Four is at least as interesting as several we have seen before. At or near the top of that list is the set of coaches that are leading their teams into Indianapolis. There’s a bit of everything here – from the legends to the future star. I mean, just look at these guys: Tom Izzo - I’m not convinced that there is a better pressure coach in the country right...

Duke vs. West Virginia Predictions - March 31, 2010

After a wild and crazy road, we have finally reached the Final Four. Only Duke remains of the top seeds, and there are some definite Cinderella stories. The match up between Duke and West Virginia pits a #1 seed against a #2 seed. West Virginia upset Kentucky to get here, while Duke held down a strong Baylor squad. The winner of this game will almost certainly be favored in the Championship game on Monday. Will Bob Huggins finally break through and get to the title game or will Coach K be on his...

Purdue vs Duke Betting Odds - March 24, 2010

The last game to tip in the Sweet 16 on Friday will be #4 seed Purdue against #1 seed Duke.  Purdue started off their tournament by knocking off so-called “giant killer” #13 seed Siena in the first round, then pulled off an exciting victory over #5 seed Texas A&M in the second round.  Duke hasn’t been met by much opposition in the tournament so far.  They destroyed Arkansas Pine Bluff in the first round, then made quick work of Cal in the second round.  Looking at the latest...
