Broncos at Eagles Odds - December 22, 2009

With two weeks left in the regular season, teams with a direct route to the playoffs need to be playing some of their best football at this point. Losing a home game to the Oakland Raiders is the complete opposite of that scenario. The Denver Broncos will have an opportunity to rebound on Sunday afternoon against the upstart Philadelphia Eagles. Donovan McNabb and company have won five straight and lead the NFC East by one game. According to our lines, Philadelphia is a 7 point favorite. The Broncos...

Two teams fighting for their playoff lives will meet in the Meadowlands when the 6-7 Atlanta Falcons battle the 7-6 New York Jets. There are major injury issues in this game that has delayed a line being released by Vegas. Packers at Steelers Line - December 17, 2009

The Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are two teams headed in different directions right now. Green Bay has righted the ship over the last few weeks and is solid shape to make the playoffs, while Pittsburgh has lost 5 in a row and now they are a long shot to make the playoffs. Just five short weeks ago it was Green Bay who had lost to Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh who had beaten Denver on the road. Since then it has been five straight wins for Green Bay and 5 straight losses for Pittsburgh....

Rams vs. Titans Line - December 12, 2009

Whether Vince Young can play in this game may not matter, as the Rams join Tampa Bay with the league’s worst record at 1-11.  Tennessee (5-7) is enjoying greater success due to the play of Young.  After starting the season 0-6, they’re 5-1 since reinstating him as the starting play caller.  Last week they gave the undefeated Indianapolis Colts a good run in the 27-17 loss.  This week’s game is scheduled for Sunday at 4:05 pm et and our point spreads have the Rams as the underdogs...

Seahawks at Texans Line - December 12, 2009

Both Seattle and Houston look to gain some ground this week and work towards a chance at a winning season; both currently have a 5-7 record. Houston especially needs a win, as they have lost 4 games straight. Coming into the season, many believed this could be Houston’s coming out party, but so far they haven’t showed it. They have showed signs through out the season and even kept almost all of their games close, but haven’t been able to finish. I completely project this one as a hard fought...

Bengals at Vikings Odds - December 11, 2009

This Sunday’s match up between the Vikings and the Bengals wouldn’t have looked like a marquee match up a couple months before the season, but it definitely is now. Brett Favre joined the Vikings and they have cruised to a 10-2 record, and the Cincinnati Bengals have been the biggest surprise in the NFL, sitting atop the AFC North at 9-3 on the year. Barring some huge collapse both teams will make the playoffs, but this game will be very important for seeding and home field advantage...

Chargers at Cowboys Odds - December 11, 2009

The San Diego Chargers are playing some of the best football of anyone in the NFL right now. The Dallas Cowboys sit at 8-4, but their December swoons of the past have some wondering if last weekend’s loss at New York was just the beginning of another downturn. The stakes will be very high for this late afternoon game in Dallas on Sunday. Both teams should make the playoffs, but which one will get home field advantage and have a better route to the Super Bowl? The San Diego Chargers offense...

Panthers at Patriots Line - December 9, 2009

The New England Patriots (7-5) will try to end their two game losing streak as they host the Carolina Panthers (5-7) this Sunday at 1:00 pm et.  It’s a good thing it won’t be a road game, where Tom Brady and company have lost 5 of their 6 games.  They’re currently undefeated at home where our odds have them as the 13.5 point favorites.  The Panthers ended their own two game losing streak with a 16-6 win against lowly Tampa Bay.  Their playoff hopes are all but shot with an extremely...

Two teams in the thick of the playoff race, the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens, will meet for the first time in four years Monday night at Lambeau Field. Lions at Bengals Spread - December 4, 2009

For quite a few year s the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions have been the laughing stock of the NFL. This year the Lions are still very bad, but the Bengals have put it together and are probably the most surprising team in the National Football League. Those making predictions have been shocked by the Bengals and their amazing turnaround. A team that was once plagued by terrible defense now leads the league in points allowed and Marvin Lewis and the Bengals sit 2 games ahead of Pittsburgh...

Patriots at Saints Line - November 29, 2009

The Monday Night game has all the makings of a classic shootout as the New England Patriots take on the New Orleans Saints.  These two teams feature two of the premiere quarterbacks in the NFL and offenses that can score points in a hurry.  New Orleans opened up as a 3 point home favorite earlier in the week but sharp wise guy action has come in on New England plus the points.  The line now stands at New Orleans minus 1.5 at most off-shore books.  We can talk all we want about the offenses but...

The Oakland Raiders are playing in their first Thanksgiving Day game since 1970 Thursday, and they travel to face the Dallas Cowboys who are winners of 5 of their last 6 games. The Raiders come in with some momentum after a stunning 20-17 win over the Bengals Sunday as 10-point underdogs. Dallas is coming off a come-from-behind 7-6 win over the Redskins at home, and they’ve scored just 14 points the last 2 weeks combined. Can they get their offense going in this one? The lines say they probably...

The Fighting Illini of Illinois and the Cincinnati Bearcats both had high hopes coming into this season. The two teams’ seasons have gone in very different paths,  with Cincinnati in the national title hunt and Illinois at the bottom of the weak Big 10 conference. North Carolina at Boston College Odds - November 21, 2009

We’ve got a big game this weekend in New England. North Carolina comes into to Boston to face the Eagles in what we can definitely refer to as a crucial game  for both  teams.  Boston College may argue that it’s more important for them as they still try and hold on to their last hopes at an Atlantic division title.  However, because the Eagles’  fate depends on the outcome of the Virginia and Clemson game this weekend, North Carolina may argue in their own favor.  A win in Boston could...

BYU vs Air Force - November 20, 2009

Brigham Young University is the 10 point favorite as they host Air Force in a Mountain West matchup.  The game is scheduled for 3:30 pm ET and will be played at Lavell Edwards Stadium in Provo.  BYU sports an impressive 8-2 record, their only losses coming to then ranked #10 TCU and Florida State.  They’re riding a two game win streak after playing Wyoming and conference worst New Mexico, and they’ll be tested against a legit 7-4 Falcon squad.  The odds have the total at 46. This...

TCU vs. Wyoming Spread - November 20, 2009

The TCU Horned Frogs are really starting to get the attention of the nation lately with their huge wins over formidable opponents. This weekend they head to Laramie to take on the Wyoming Cowboys. Wyoming is coming off a massive fourth quarter comeback win over San Diego State last weekend in a game where they were down 27-6 going into the last quarter and won. Wyoming has made big strides throughout the year, but it will be a very tall task to try to match up with this TCU football team. The TCU...

Duke at Miami Spread - November 20, 2009

After losing to Georgia Tech handily last week, the Blue Devils need to win their next two games to become bowl eligible.  This Saturday will be their first test, as they travel to take on Miami.  The odds have picked Duke as the 19.5 point underdogs, which equates to an uphill climb for them to secure a win.  Miami lost all hopes for an ACC coastal championship with their loss to North Carolina last week combined with Georgia Tech’s win.  They are, however, looking to win out for a potential...

Purdue at Indiana Odds - November 20, 2009

The rivalry between Purdue and Indiana may not be as big as some on the national level, but inside the state of Indiana this is a pretty serious deal. Each year these two teams clash for the Old Oaken Bucket trophy. Purdue has won the trophy 55 times compared to Indiana’s 26 times. On paper it would appear that this is a game where both teams don’t have a lot to play for, but that is definitely not the case in this game! The Purdue Boilermakers are probably one of the best 4-7 football...

Virginia at Clemson Line - November 20, 2009

The Virginia Cavaliers enter their game with Clemson with a record of just 3-7. Their coach, Al Groh, is rumored to be on the way out at the end of the season unless someone changes their mind. On the other side the Clemson Tigers started a little bit slowly, but they have found their stride and they are now 7-3 and back in the top 20. C.J. Spiller has put his name into the Heisman race and the Clemson Tigers are back in the race for the ACC title as well. The Clemson Tigers have won five straight...

Colorado at Oklahoma State Odds - November 18, 2009

The Colorado Buffaloes have had a season to forget, but the Oklahoma State Cowboys are having a pretty successful season. Even without suspended star receiver Dez Bryant the Cowboys have gone 8-2 and could still play in a very good bowl game. Colorado’s Dan Hawkins may well be on his way out if his team doesn’t step up in a big way over their last couple of games. Oklahoma State has just two losses on the season, defeats at the hands of  Texas and Houston, both at home. Zac Robinson...
