With less than a week separating fans from UFC 99: The Comeback, I thought it would be a good idea to make sure everyone has the latest odds for all the action ready to go down this Saturday, June 13. Besides being just one pay-per-view event away from the historical 100 mark, UFC 99 will be the first ever UFC event to take place in Germany, as some of the top fighters in the world get ready to invade the Lanxess Arena this weekend. The fight that has everyone talking is former UFC middleweight champion Rich “Ace” Franklin taking on the dangerous former PRIDE champion Wanderlei ” The Axe Murder” Silva. For those of you looking to do some UFC betting this weekend, here is quick look at some of the top fights this weekend, plus the odds for nearly every fight on the card.

Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlie Silva: There is a pretty good chance that one of these fighters will have a much harder time remembering the fight, as UFC fans should be in for a treat this weekend. Both fighters have exceptional striking ability, and as long as the fight stays off the ground, this could be your classic punch each other till somebody falls to the ground. Silva carries a scary demeanor that would put fear in a lot of men, but many wonder how much this guy has left in the tank, as he has just 1 win in the UFC over the last 9 years. After losing to Tito Ortiz in early 2000, Silva did not return to the UFC until December of 2007, where he lost to Chuck Liddell. Silva’s lone win came in May of last year, as he knocked out Keith Jardine, but it was not a good showing for Silva at UFC 92, as he was knocked out in the first round by Quinton Jackson. As for Franklin there is no question he will be ready to go for this fight, and I can pretty much guarantee there will be no backing down from this man. Franklin has put quite the UFC career together over the years, as he suffered his first loss to someone not named Anderson Silva at UFC 93, where he lost by split decision to Dan Henderson. I expect both fighters to bring it all in this one, and when you hit as hard as these two fighters do, it only takes one good shot to win the fight. Bet Franklin -140 or Silva +110 at Sportsbook.com.

Cheick Kongo vs. Cain Velasquez: For those of you who like to watch the big boys go at each other, this heavyweight bout should be all that and some more. Velasquez brings a perfect 5-0 record to the table in this one, including three straight wins while fighting in the UFC. On the other side you have Kongo, a veteran of the UFC, who comes in with a solid 24-4-1 MMA record, including a very impressive 7-2 record while fighting in the UFC. Kongo also brings a three fight win streak to this fight. The thing that really adds some excitement to this fight, is in each of these two fighters three win streak in the UFC, all have come by TKO in the 2nd round or earlier. With UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar scheduled to defend his belt against Frank Mir at UFC 100, the winner of this fight could very well be headed to a title shot in the near future. Bet Kongo +160 or Velasquez -200 at Sportsbook.com.

More Betting Odds for UFC 99:

Mike Swick -200 vs. Ben Saunders +160

Marcus Davis -200 vs. Dan Hardy +160

Spencer Fisher -200 vs. Caol Uno +160

Mirko Cro Cop -550 vs. Mostapha Al Turk +350

Dennis Siver -170 vs. Dale Hartt +140

Terry Etim -500 vs. Justin Buchholz +300

Paul Taylor -500 vs. Peter Sobotta +300

Paul Kelly -500 vs. Rolando Delgado +300

John Hathaway -150 vs. Rick Story +120

Stefan Struve -130 vs. Denis Stojnic EVEN

This Saturday the MGM Grand Garden Arena will be packed for the highly anticipated UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida. It will be the first time in UFC history that two undefeated fighters step into the octagon for the light heavyweight belt. Rashad “Suga” Evans comes in 18-0-1, fresh off his win over Forrest Griffin at UFC 92 where he won the title. Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida is a perfect 14-0, including a perfect 6-0 start in the UFC. Machida earned this shot after his very impressive win over Thiago Silva at UFC 94, and is now just one step away from being the new 205 lb champion. The other big fight at UFC 98 has two former UFC welterweight champions squaring off, in Matt Hughes and Matt “The Terror” Serra. With UFC 98 less than a week away, here is a quick look at the the two big fights this weekend, plus my predictions on who comes out on top.

Lyoto Machida -205 vs. Rashad Evans +165: Some might find it surprising that Machida actually comes in against the champion as the favorite, but he has been so impressive with his Karate style that few can figure him out. I think that Evans is a much better fighter than he is giving credit for, and I would not be surprised one bit if he came in and defended his belt this weekend. Evans is coming off three very impressive wins that includes a split decision win over Michael Bisping, a knock out of Chuck Liddell, and the TKO of Forrest Griffin. Machida earned his first knock out in the UFC in his last fight against Silva, and it was the first time that he ended a fight in the first round. Machida has had 4 of his 6 fights go the distance, but he has won all of those fights by unanimous decision. This fight has all the makings of a great one, and if you are going to watch this event at all, I strongly recommend making sure you are tuned in for this one. My Prediction: Evans -205.

Matt Hughes -325 vs. Matt Serra +250: If you are looking for two fighters that just want to beat the crap out of each other, I have a very good feeling this is the fight you are looking for. On top of all that, these two guys simply just don’t like each other, and would love nothing more than to punish the other guy for 3 straight rounds. Both of Serra’s last two fights have been against George St-Pierre, where he first upset the champion, then was unable to have anywhere near the same luck in his rematch. Hughes also has a loss against St-Pierre during that stretch, as he was unable to win the rubber match between the two fighters. Both fighters have only fought once in the last year, and a big reason for that is these two guys are getting up there in age. It will be interesting to see if Hughes can control this fight, or if Serra can land one of his devastating blows to take control of the fight. My Prediction: Hughes -325.

Other UFC 98 Fight Odds & Predictions

Sean Sherk -340 vs. Frank Edgar +260

Phillipe Nover -365 vs. Kle Bradley +285

Yoshiyuki Yoshida -525 vs. Brandon Wolff +325

It’s still a few weeks away, but we are pretty excited for the UFC 98: Evans v. Machida card so we thought we would prepare this early preview. The event will take place on Saturday, May 23rd and will have a quality main event and a co-main event that we are anxiously awaiting. I’m going to focus on these two big fights in this preview, so let’s dive into the matchups.

Rashad “Sugar Evans v. Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida – Originally Evans was supposed to get a shot at former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson but Jackson had to have arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn jaw ligament he suffered while training for the fight. Instead it will be the undefeated Machida in the Octagon with the winner of this fight taking on Jackson at a later date. Bookmaker has Machida listed as the -205 favorite to win this one.

Just because Machida is a fill-in doesn’t mean he isn’t capable and he shouldn’t be overlooked by bettors. The sharps and odds makers sure aren’t as Machida is a decided favorite in this fight, even though Evans is the champion. Machida is a staggerring 14-0 in MMA action, while Evans isn’t a slouch himself with a 18-0-1 record. Only one thing is certain here, and that is how one of them will go home with their first defeat. Evans is the underdog getting +180 at 5 Dimes.

Matt Hughes v. Matt “The Terror” Serra – The other fight we are excited about is the grudge match between Hughes and Serra, both of who were coaches with the Ultimate Fight 6. Hughes is 43-7 in his MMA career, but has lost three of his last four fights. His wrestling background has been his biggest strength as he won a lot of fights by being able to take down his opponents and he cuts weight so well he’s normally a lot stronger than opponents. Hughes is currently a -250 favorite at BetUS.

Serra has less experience at 16-5 but also had a top notch ground game and does great at getting submissions. He has lost two of his last four fights, but his last defeat came to Georges St. Pierre, who has dominated almost everyone he’s fought recently. Both of these fighters want to climb back to the top of the mountain, but are probably past their prime. This still should be a fight worth watching as both guys are tough and love to bang it out. Serra is a +210 underdog at 5 Dimes.

If you are a fan of the UFC, then you already know one of the biggest pay-per-view events of the year is about to go down this Saturday at UFC 97: Redemption. Not only do you get to see Anderson “The Spider” Silva take on Thales Leites for the UFC Middleweight Championship, you get “The Iceman” Chuck Liddell trying to prove he still has it when he takes on former No.1 contender at 205 pounds Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. This huge event is scheduled to go down at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Here is a closer look at the two big fights this weekend, plus my predictions on who will win all 5 main card bouts.

Main Event: Anderson Silva -800 vs. Thales Leites +500: Silva has the chance to make history this weekend, as a win over Leites would tie him with the longest UFC winning streak at nine straight wins and looks to tie the record for consecutive title defenses at five. Silva comes in with a 23-4 overall record, but has been simply unbeatable in his stint in the UFC. Silva has made some of the best fighters in the world look stupid. He has wins over Chris Leben, Rich Franklin(2), Travis Lutter, Nate Marquardt, Dan Henderson, James Irvin, and most recently Patrick Cote. Now the Cote fight brought up some rumbles from fans, as they were not pleased with Silva’s showing in the 3 round TKO. People simply expect this guy to go out and murder people every time he steps into the Octagon. That leaves a very tough task for Leites, as he will look to improve on his 14-1MMA record, and look for his 6th straight win in the UFC after losing to Martin Kampmann in his UFC debut. Leites definitely has the potential to win this fight simply because he is a master of the ground game, and if he gets you down he will likely find a way to tap you out. Now doing that to Silva could be a whole different story, as Silva will look to keep this fight on their feet, as he is one of the best strikers in the world. I have a scary feeling that this one is going to be bad news for Leites, as I have a real hard time seeing this fight go past the first round. I think Silva dominates this fight from the start and uses his excellent striking ability to knock out Leites. My Prediction: Bet Anderson “The Spider” Silva -800 at Sportsbook.com.

Chuck Liddell -185 vs. Mauricio Rua +155: Liddell is a legend in the sport of MMA, and is the biggest star this sport has had to date. But all that won’t mean a thing this Saturday when he steps in the ring with Rua. Fans have been wanting this fight for years, and it could very well be the fight of the night, and thats saying something when Anderson Silva is fighting. There is no question that the Iceman has lost a step or two in the Octagon, as he has lost three of his last four fights, but to his credit he is fighting nothing but the best fighters the UFC has to offer. After beating Wanderlei Silva at UFC 79, it looked as though Liddell was back on his way to another title run, but in his most recent fight against Rashad Evans he got knocked out cold. Liddell has been known to be a counter fighter and let the other guy make the first moves, but for some reason he stepped away from his game plan against Evans, and it ended costing him. Not that long ago Rua was the top dog coming up at the 205 weight division, and many thought this guy was going to dominate this weight class on his way to the UFC title, but thanks to a couple knee injuries Rua has struggled to make his mark in the UFC. In his debut at UFC 76 back in 2007 Rua loss to Forrest Griffin and had to go through two knee surgeries before coming back to the UFC and fighting Mark Coleman at UFC 93. Rua beat Coleman by TKO, but it was an ugly win, as Rua was completely out of shape and struggled to finish the fight, something he won’t be able to do against Liddell. I think these two fighters are going to let loose on each other, and I am going to give the slight edge to Rua in this one. No way good he beat Liddell in his prime, but I think Rua will have what it takes to win this fight. My Prediction: Bet Mauricio “Shogun” Rua +155 at Sportsbook.com

With UFC 96 just a day away I thought now would be a great time to give you my predictions on the upcoming fights, that is headlined by former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson taking on the “The Dean of Mean” Keith Jardine. Other action has a solid heavyweight bout between Gabriel “Napao” Gonzaga and the undefeated Shane Carwin. While the card is loaded from top to bottom I am going to focus on the main fight between Jackson and Jardine, but I will give you my predictions on the other fights taking place as well.

Main Event

Bet Quinton “Rampage” Jackson -350 at Sportsbook.com

Like him or hate him, this is one of the best fighters the UFC has to offer, as he has beat some big names in his short time in the UFC, and is already a former champion at his weight class. Jackson lost his belt to Forrest Griffin back at UFC 86 by a unanimous decision, but made up for it in his last fight with a devastating knock out of Wanderlei Silva. Jackson has knock out power from both hands and has some amazing power where he can pick you up and slam you to the ground. While everyone remembers the punches this guy throws, Jackson does have some solid wrestling skills, but we aren’t sure if this fight will see much action on the ground. A win here for Jackson and he will likely get that much wanted shot at the UFC Light Heavyweight Title.

Bet Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine +250 at Sportsbook.com

Jardine has just 20 official MMA fights under his belt, but this is a well-rounded fighter that can bring it to for as long as the fight goes. Jardine got knocked out at UFC 84 by Wanderlei Silva, but got right back on track with a win over Brandon Vera at UFC 89. Jardine seems to be up and down, as he also has wins over Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griggin, but between those fights he got knocked out by Houston Alexander. One thing that Jardine will have to use in his favor is his leg kicks, as he throws more leg kicks than any other fighter in the UFC, and it just so happens that Jackson is one of the worst at defending the leg kicks, and it was a big reason Jackson loss to Griffin for the title. Jardine is one hell of a fighter, and a win here would do wonders for his career, as it would keep him in the talks of the best light heavyweight fighters the UFC has to offer.

Prediciton: Quinton Jackson

Jackson is a beast and showed how much he has improved and matured over the years with his big win over Silva. Jardine has heart, but that won’t be enough, as I see Jackson ending this thing early with a first round knockout

Other Fights:

Gonzaga -170 vs. Carwin +140

Mark Munoz +140 vs. Matt Hamill -170

Gary Maynard -170 vs. Jim Miller +140

Pete Snell -140 vs. Matt Brown +110

Jason Day +160 vs. Kendall Grove -200

Brandon Vera -600 vs. Michael Patt +450

The UFC is back in action this weekend, as UFC 96: Jackson vs. Jardine is set to get underway Saturday March 7th from the Nationwide Arena in Ohio. There is plenty to like on this fight card, as you not only get the main event of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson taking on Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine, you get a great heavyweight fight between Gabriel Gonzaga and Sane Carwin, a solid middleweight bout between Pete Snell and Matt Brown, a light heavyweight bout between Matt Hammel and Mark Munoz, and a lightweight fight that has to emerging fighters in Gray Maynard and Jim Miller. To help get you going on UFC 96 here is a quick look at each fight and the odds for each fighter to win thanks to BetUS.com.

Quinton Jackson (29-7) -350 vs. Keith Jardine (14-5-1) +250

This fight has all the makings of being the fight of the night, as you get two in your face fighters wanting nothing more than to knock the other guy on his ass. Jackson is coming off a huge knockout win over Wanderlei Silva at UFC 92, and a win this weekend will likely put Jackson as the top contender for the Light Heavyweight title. Jardine on the other hand really needs this fight to get him back at the top of this division, as he was embarrassed by Wanderlei Silva two fights ago, but did get a win against Brandon Vera at UFC 89.

Gabriel Gonzaga (10-3) -180 vs. Shane Carwin (10-0) +150

This is a real interesting fight, as you the proven Gonzaga taking on the surprise of Carwin, who has walked through everyone he has faced in the UFC in his 3 fights with the organization. Gonzaga has devastating knockout ability with both his first and his legs, and is riding two straight wins over Justin McCully and Josh Hendricks. A win for Carwin and he lets everyone know he is for real, and he likely earns himself a title shot against Brock Lesnar.

Pete Snell (8-5) -130 vs. Matt Brown (11-7) EVEN

This fight doesn’t have that same excitement surrounding it that so many of the other fights on this card have, but this could be a pleasant surprise for those fans that tune into the whole event. Snell is making just his 4th fight in the UFC, and is coming in off a submission (arm lock) win over Ryan Thomas at UFC 91. On the other hand Brown is trying to get it going in the UFC, as he is just 2-4 in six fights, but two of those losses came to a good fighter in Nate Quarry and the other two losses were to Thales Leites and Scott Smith. Brown did take home a unanimous decision win over Josh Burkman at UFC 90, and this is a near must win for him this weekend.

Matt Hamill (7-2) -170 vs. Mark Munoz (5-0) +140

Another great fight in the makings in Hamill vs. Munoz, as you get a very experienced UFC fighter in Hamill, whose only losses have come by the hands of Rich Franklin and Michael Bisping, and is coming in off a TKO of Reese Andy at UFC 92. Munoz has a real shot at making his name heard around the UFC if he is able to push his record to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the UFC, as he already has knock out wins over Ricardo Barros and Chuck Grigsby in his two UFC fights.

Gray Maynard (7-0-1) -200 vs. Jim Miller (13-1) +160

By the records alone you can see that this fight has plenty of potential, but while Miller has a loss on his record, he has not lost in the UFC. Maynard has rolled off four straight wins in the UFC after a draw against Rob Emerson in his UFC debut. It will come down to Maynard’s wrestling and striking skills against Miller’s submission techniques and great cardio.

UFC 95: Stevenson vs Sanchez is just a day away, as a number of fighters are set to invade the O2 Arena in London this Saturday night, and while the fights will take place much earlier in US time, fans can still get some action in on the fights and for those of you that can wait or just like watching the UFC, it is set to be aired free of charge on SPIKE TV at 9pm ET. While a lot of the big names aren’t on display, there are still a bunch of good fights going, including the main event of Joe Stevenson vs. Diego Sanchez that is sure to be one of the better fights we have seen this year. For those of you looking for a little help on impressing your friends, we are going to take a closer look at the main event, and give you our prediction on all 5 main event fights.

Joe “Daddy” Stevenson (34-9) +255 odds to win at Bookmaker.com

After winning four straight fights in the UFC, Stevenson has been beat up in two of his last three fights, but those losses came to quality fighters by the names of BJ Penn and Kenny Florian. Both losses were by a choke submission with the most recent coming to Florian back at UFC 91. Stevenson did through in a win over Gleison Tibau between the two losses, but if this guy wants to get back to the top of the lightweight division, he likely needs to pull out a win against Sanchez. Though Stevenson has lost his last two fights by submission, he is known for his great takedown and submission skills, as three of his last four wins have come via a submission. While few are giving Stevenson much of a shot in this one, you can never count out a guy that can put you in a choke hold before you realize what’s going on.

Diego “NIghtmare” Sanchez (21-2) -315 odds to win at Bookmaker.com

This could be a scary scene for the rest of the lightweight division if Sanchez is able to make a smooth transition from welterweight to lightweight, as this will be his first fight in the 155 weight division. After starting his career going 18-0, Sanchez lost two straight fights in 2007 to Josh Koscheck and Jon Fitch, but it wasn’t as though he got his ass kicked, as both fights went to a decision. Sanchez bounced back strong in 2008 winning both his fights, including his most recent win over Luigi Fioravanti in June of last year. While many believe Sanchez could continue to be competitive at the welterweight division, many think he could make a similar transition to that of BJ Penn, who went from welterweight to dominating the lightweight division. If Sanchez is able to walk a way with a convincing win in this fight, we don’t think it will be long before we see Penn and Sanchez going head to head for the lightweight title. We think that will be just the case, as we expect Sanchez to make pretty easy work of Stevenson in this fight.

Prediction: Diego Sanchez -315

Rest of the Fights:

Rory Markham -105 vs. Dan Hardy -125

Wilson Gouveia +255 vs. Nate Marquardt -315

Chael Sonnen +255 vs. Demian Maia -285

The UFC is once again set to take center stage this weekend, as UFC 95: Sanchez vs. Stevenson is set to get underway from the O2 Arena in London. Good news for UFC fans is the event is scheduled to air free of charge in the US on SPIKE TV. Its pretty easy to see that the main event of the night will be a lightweight battle between former middleweight star Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez and former top lightweight contender Joe “Daddy” Stevenson. To get you up to date on all the fights, here is a quick look at each of the 5 main card bouts with the odds for each fighter to win at Bookmaker.com.

Joe Stevenson (+255) vs. Diego Sanchez (-315)

This is the fight many fans will tune in to watch, but its just one of many really good fights that are scheduled to go down this Saturday. Sanchez had some pretty good success as a welterweight fighter, as he his 21-2 career MMA record shows. Sachez big wins include the likes of Kenny Florian, Nick Diaz, and most recently a TKO of Luigi Fioravanti. Stevenson has a 34-9 MMA record, but has fallen of late losing two of his last 3 fights, including a loss to Kenny Florian in his last fight. If Sanchez’s move to the lightweight division is anything like that of BJ Penn, then it doesn’t look good for Stevenson.

Rory Markham (-115) vs. Dan Hardy (-115)

This is about as even as it gets when you put two fighters in the octagon. Markham has a 16-4 record, and is coming off a win in his only UFC fight back in July of last year. Hardy is a solid 20-6-1, and has also fought just one fight in the UFC, and he to won his fight. Hardy will use his great striking and speed to try and out perform Markham’s great conditioning and knockout power. This fight has all the makings of being the best fight of the night, so don’t just tune into the main event.

Wilson Gouveia (+215) vs. Nate Marquardt (-275)

The odds might make you believe that this fight is going to won pretty easily by Marquardt, but we aren’t so sure that will be the case. Marquardt does come in with a nice 30-8-2 MMA record and a big win over Martin Kampmann back at UFC 88, but Gouveia is coming off back to back wins, and while his ground game is good, he has the power to end this fight early with a good shot.

Chael Sonnen (+225) vs. Demian Maia (-285)

This fight has a pretty interesting twist to it, as Demian Maia looks to 5-0 in the UFC and improve on his perfect 10-0 MMA record. The thing that makes this fight interesting is Maia has won all 4 of his UFC fights by choke out, and this guy is simply a master at the art of submission. That means in order for Sonnen to win he has to keep this fight on his feet, or it will likely be yet another submission win for Maia. Sonnen does have a 23-9-1 record, but all 3 of this losses in the UFC have come by submission.

Paulo Thiago (+375) vs. Josh Koscheck (-455)

This could also be a very entertaining fight to watch, as Thiago is set to make his UFC debut after going a perfect 7-0 while fighting in Brazil. Koscheck has been around the UFC for awhile, as this will be his 14th fight in the biggest MMA organization on the planet. Koscheck has great wrestling and overall athleticism that makes him a dangerous guy to fight, while Thiago has made his name as a submission specialist. The edge goes to Koscheck, but its hard telling with these fighters that we have seen so little of.

This Saturday the UFC is back in action after the huge rematch between BJ Penn and George St. Pierre last week, where St-Pierre won in very convincing fashion to retain his UFC Welterweight title. This week the UFC is headed to the Sun Dome in Florida for Fight Night: Lauzon vs. Stephens. This is a special event for UFC fans, as the event is set to be televised on SPIKE, instead of the normal pay-per-view where fans have to shell out fifty dollars to watch an event. There are a number of fights scheduled to take place, but the big one, as you might of guessed, is Joe “J-Lau” Lauzon vs. Jeremy “Lil’ Heathen” Stephens, as these two are set to do battle to see who moves one step closer to getting a title shot in the lightweight division. There is also a strong showing from The Ultimate Fighter series, including season 6 winner Mac Danzig taking on Josh “The Dentist” Neer. To help you get going on the upcoming fights this weekend, we are going to preview the 3 big fights, and give you our predictions on a few other fights as well, with odds provided by BetUS.com.

Joe Lauzon (-170) Vs. Jeremy Stephens (+140)

Lauzon comes in at 16-4 overall with 4-1 record in the UFC. Lauzon bounced back well after his disappointing TKO loss to Kenny Florian back at the beginning of last year, with a TKO win of his own against Kyle Bradley. Stephens has a very similar overall record at 16-3, but has had a little tougher time in the UFC going just 3-2. Stephens also bounced back from a loss in his last fight, as he had a very impressive TKO win over Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 91. Lauzon might have won his last fight with a knock out, but this guy is at his best on the ground using his submission skills, and that is likely where he will try to take this fight, as Stephens is a very hard hitter, and not a very easy guy to knock out. I look for Lauzon to prove he is the better fighter in this one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if fans get a full 3 rounds of action in this one.

Denis Stojnic (+400) Vs. Cain Velasquez (-550)

This will be the UFC debut for Stojnic, who has produced a 12-1 MMA record while fighting in Holland and Eastern Europe. On the other side you have Velasquez fighting just his fifth career fight, and has a perfect 4-0 overall record, including two straight wins to start off his UFC career. Impressively enough Velasquez has finished both his fights in the first round with TKO’s, including most recently against Jake O’Brien back in July of last year. Velasquez is a very well-rounded fighter that loves to strike with his knees and take his opponent down and ground and pound. Stojnic is a big underdog in this one, as the competition just isn’t the same outside of the UFC, but this guy is also a very well-rounded fighter, and has some explosiveness to his game. We look for a good showing from Stojnic, but when its all said and done, Velasquez will be the guy getting his hand raised.

Mac Danzig (-140) Vs. Josh Neer (+110)

In a battle of two very good lightweights you get Ultimate Fighter season six winner Mac Danzig and his 19-5-1 career record taking on the young and tough Josh Neer who has already put together a solid career at 24-7-1 at just the age of 25. Both these fighters are coming in off losses, as Danzig lost via unanimous decision to Clay Guida, while Neer lost for the second time in his last 3 fights to Nick Diaz. This fights sets up to be a real fan pleaser, as both these fighters are pretty well known for going the distance. We think the fight only goes two rounds, with Neer pulling off the minor upset with some form of submission.

Predictions for other Fights:

Rob Emerson (+190) Vs. Kurt Pellegrino (-240)

Jake Rosholt (+145) Vs. Dan Miller (-185)

Steve Bruno (+105) Vs. Matt Riddle (-135)

There is just one day remaining till the UFC once again gets going with another big time event, as UFC 94: St-Pierre vs. Penn 2 is set to get underway Saturday night live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. There is no question who the fans are going to watch in this one, as the main event between George “Rush” St-Pierre and BJ “The Prodigy” Penn could very well be the fight of the year. These two fighters first fought back in 2006 for the No. 1 contender spot in the welterweight division, and St-Pierre wound up winning by split decision. With so many people ready to see the rematch between two current UFC Champions, we are going to preview the fight and give our prediction on who comes out on top, also we are going to give our picks on the other 4 big fights on the main card tomorrow night.

George St-Pierre (17-2-0) -170 Odds to Win Fight at BetUS.com

We are talking about one of the best fighters in the business right here, and it seems like this guy is only getting better, as he continues on a personal quest to become the best pound for pound fighter in UFC history. St-Pierre is the current UFC Welterweight Champion, and its the 2nd time he has held this title in his UFC career. St-Pierre is coming into this fight off 4 straight wins, but the last 3 have been about as impressive as they get, as he took out Matt Hughes for the 2nd time in his career, followed by a huge TKO win over Matt Serra, who first took the belt from St-Pierre back in 2007, and most recently the absolute domination of Jon Fitch, who was previously unbeaten in the octagon, and what many considered St-Pierres toughest challenge to date. The reason St-Pierre is so good, is this guy just doesn’t have very many holes in his game, as he not only a great striker and submissions artist, but many consider him the best wrestler in the business. One thing is for sure, and thats St-Pierre will be ready to go in this one, as he knows how big this fight is.

BJ Penn (13-4-1) +130 Odds to Win Fight at BetUS.com

Another guy that knows how big this fight is, is BJ Penn, as he has said this is the biggest fight in MMA history. After losing to St-Pierre and Matt Hughes in back to back fights back i 2006, Penn dropped down to the 155 pound weight class and wound up winning the UFC Lightweight title at UFC 80 with a rear naked chokehold submission of Joe Stevenson. Those new to the sport, might not know that Penn was once the UFC Welterweight Champion, as he pulled off a huge upset win over Matt Hughes way back at UFC 46. If Penn is able to win this fight over St-Pierre, he would become the first fighter in UFC history to hold belts at two current weight classes at the same time. Like St-Pierre Penn is a well-rounded fighter with a very sound game, but this guy is best using his boxing and jui-jitsu skills. In Penn’s 13 career wins he has 5 wins by choke out, and it was that move that got him the upset win over Hughes back in 2004. Penn also brings the heart and tenacity that few can duplicate, and its likely those skills will be what wins him this fight, if he is to do so.

Lowry’s Lean on the Fight: George St-Pierre

I think that St-Pierre is just to big and to strong for Penn in this one, and though I am not questioning the ability of Penn, I just don’t know if switching back and forth between weight classes is really going to pay dividends in this one, but I love him going up in weight class to fight St-Pierre, as everyone has wanted this fight for a long time. I look for St-Pierre to use his striking skills to win this fight, as I see a knockout win coming in round 3 of this one.

Rest of the Fights:

Lyoto Machida (-300) vs. Thiago Silva (+200)

Stephan Bonnar (-175) vs. Jon Jones (+135)

Karo Parisyan (-350) vs. Dong Hyun Him (+250)

Nate Diaz (-125) vs. Clay Guida (-105)
