2012 CBI Tournament Bracket & Schedule

The College Basketball Invitation Tournament (CBI) participants were announced on Sunday.  The 16-team field includes some relatively big-names in college hoops including Butler, Pittsburgh, TCU, Wofford, Oregon State, and Washington State (to name a few that have participated in the NCAA tournament bracket in recent years).  You can view and download or print our CBI tournament bracket to fill out while you watch all of the action throughout the series.

What’s interesting about the CBI is that it doesn’t follow the same format as your traditional college basketball tournaments.  The first four  rounds are single-elimination (just like the big dance), but once the championship series hits it switches over to a best-of-three series (note that prior to the semifinals the remaining teams are re-seeded with the higher seeds hosting on their home court).  Here’s a look at the upcoming schedule of games for the CBI.
