2012 CIT Tournament Bracket & Schedule
Written by Jack Jones - Google +
As if there weren’t enough college basketball this week with the 2012 NCAA Tournament bracket, the NIT, and the CBI, you can add another slew of games to watch with the CIT, which starts on March 13th this season. Officially titled The CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament, the CIT is a men’s college basketball tournament created in 2009 by the website CollegeInsider.com.
Originally designed for 16 teams, the tournament expanded its field to 24 teams last season, and now invites 32. All games are single elimination, but the format differs from the other tournaments. It starts with 16 first round games. Eight of the teams that win their first round contest will advance to the quarterfinals, then the other eight winners will play for the right to also advance, meaning there is no set bracket as the CIT uses the old NIT model of determining future opponents following the conclusion of the previous round.

There are 32 teams in the field this year.
Sorry, updated the schedule without the analysis up top. You would think seeing 16 games below I would remember to change the teams participating. Thanks for the catch and the comment.
