#1 Florida defeats Mississippi State 29-19 - The Gators overcame two interceptions from Tim Tebow which kept the Bulldogs in the game, only the second time in his college career that he’s thrown two picks. Dustin Doe returned an interception for a touchdown which sealed the victory.
#2 Alabama defeats Tennessee 12-10 - The Crimson Tide managed just 4 field goals in the game, failing to reach the end zone once. Their defense rose up to the occasion once again, blocking two field goals including a 44-yard attempt by Tennessee as time expired.
#3 Texas defeats Missouri 41-7 - There’s something about Texas after playing Oklahoma as the Longhorns are now 12-0 the last 12 years following the Red River Rivalry. Texas took a 21-0 lead in the first quarter, and QB Colt McCoy finished 26-of-31 for 269 yards and three touchdowns.
#4 Boise State defeats Hawaii 54-9 - The Warriors never stood a chance as Broncos’ QB Kellen Moore threw five touchdowns passes in the win. Boise State went 3-for-3 on fourth downs as well.
#5 Cincinnati defeats Louisville 41-10 - Apparently the Bearcats don’t need their starting quarterback to win. While Tony Pike was watching from the sidelines, backup Zach Collaros threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns. He was almost perfect, completing 15-of-17 passes.
#6 Iowa defeats Michigan State 15-13 - In what was the most entertaining finish in the Top-25, Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi hit WR Marvin McNutt for the game-winning touchdown on fourth down as time expired. The Hawkeyes are now 8-0 for the first time in school history.
#7 USC defeats Oregon State 42-36 - The Trojans led by 19 in the fourth quarter, but the Beavers wouldn’t go away. USC needed a 10-play drive that ate up the final 5:41 of the clock to seal the victory. Allen Bradford rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns, but USC’s defense gave up 482 total yards to the Beavers.
#8 TCU defeats #16 BYU 38-7 - In what was supposed to be the Horned Frogs’ most difficult game this season, TCU’s defense rose up to the occasion by limiting Max Hall and company to just 182 yards of total offense.
#9 LSU defeats Auburn 31-10 - The Tigers finally got their offense going as QB Jordan Jefferson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. Auburn avoided losing consecutive home games for the first time since 2001.
Clemson defeats #10 Miami 40-37 (OT) - Jacoby Ford scored on a TD pass from Kyle Parker in overtime on 3rd-and-11 after Miami had just kicked a field goal to take the lead. Parker finished with three touchdown passes, and C.J. Spiller set a school record with 310 all-purpose yards.
#11 Oregon defeats Washington 43-19 - Nobody can stop the Ducks right now. Oregon strung together three consecutive touchdowns in the third quarter to put them up 36-6. It wasn’t until late in the third quarter that Washington got their first touchdown, and Oregon used a fake field goal and a blocked punt to set up two of their touchdowns.
#12 Georgia Tech defeats Virginia 34-9 - The Yellow Jackets outgained the Cavaliers 447-199 as QB Josh Nesbitt threw for 85 yards and rushed for 82 more with two touchdowns.
#13 Penn State defeats Michigan 35-10 - The Nittany Lions put the game out of reach in the third quarter with two touchdowns in five minutes to take a 32-10 lead. Darryl Clark found WR Graham Zug for three touchdowns on the day.
#15 Oklahoma State defeats Baylor 34-7 - It was the 20th consecutive loss for the Bears against a ranked opponent as they fell behind 24-0 after an 87-yard touchdown drive by the Cowboys to open the second half. Zac Robinson threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns on the day.
#17 Houston defeats SMU 38-15 - Charles Simms led the way offensively, rushing for 105 yards and two touchdowns. These are two of the best offenses in the country, and that was on display as the Cougars and Mustangs combined for 40 first downs.
#18 Utah defeats Air Force 23-16 (OT) - The Utes’ defense stopped Connor Dietz on a fourth down carry in overtime to seal the victory. Eddie Wide scored two touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in overtime. QB David Reed also found Terrance Cain on a 90-yard touchdown pass, the longest scoring play in Utes’ history.
#19 Ohio State defeats Minnesota 38-7 - The Buckeyes bounced back from their upset loss to Purdue and completely dominated this game. Ohio State scored the first 38 points of the game, and the Gophers didn’t score until there was 4:15 left in the fourth quarter. Terrelle Pryor threw for 239 yards and rushed for 104 more while accounting for three touchdowns.
#20 Pittsburgh defeats South Florida 41-14 - The Panthers scored on all five possessions in the first half to take a 31-7 lead into the break. RB Dion Lewis topped the 1,000-yard mark for the season, only the fourth Pitt freshman to ever reach that number.
#22 Arizona defeats UCLA 27-13 - The Bruins scored all 13 of their points of turnovers as Arizona’s defense stood their ground. They forced QB Nick Foles into five turnovers, and held UCLA to just 65 yards rushing.
#23 West Virginia defeats Connecticut 28-24 - The Huskies would not go away, but they could not stop Noel Devine who finished with 171 yards in the second half alone. Connecticut did outgain the Mountaineers 501-387 for the game, yet WVU made enough plays in the end to win.
#24 South Carolina defeats Vanderbilt 14-10 - Stephen Garcia threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns and the Gamecocks’ defense held the Commodores to just 10 points. Vanderbilt hasn’t surpassed 10 points in any of their four SEC games this season.
Oklahoma defeats #25 Kansas 35-13 - Jayhawks’ QB Todd Reesing threw three interceptions on their first three possessions to basically hand the game to the Sooners. Oklahoma got a 26-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter by Chris Brown that capped off 21 unanswered points and put the game away. Brown rushed for two touchdowns and caught another.
