Dallas Cowboys Schedule 2009

Written May 11, 2009 by Jack Jones

cowboys-season-predictionsThe NFL recently announced their season schedule for all of the teams during the 2009 season.  If you are going to break down the odds on 2009 season win totals in the NFL, then it’s important to take a look at who the teams are actually playing so you can calculate the wins and losses.  We are going to give a week by week preview of Dallas for the 2009 season, and only give win and loss predictions for the game based off of the NFL odds that are set by the sportsbooks.  If you want to bet the Cowboys win total then try BetUS, where you can get a $500 bonus with a $500 deposit!

The Cowboys will play four preseason games this year, starting on Thursday, August 13th when they visit the Oakland Raiders.  Their first home game of the preseason is the following week when they play host to the Tennessee Titans on Friday, August 21st and then again on Saturday, August 29th when the San Francisco 49ers come into town.  The Cowboys will finish up their preseason schedule when they head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings Friday, September 4th.  Check out StubHub for Dallas Cowboys tickets in 2009!

Week 1 – Sunday, September 13th at Tampa Bay – The Cowboys first game of the season and they have to go on the road.  I think this line will be set pretty tight, but the edge goes to the Cowboys beating a rookie head coach in his first game.

Week 2 – Sunday, September 20th at home against the New York Giants – Playing host to a division rival on Sunday Night Football for the home opener.  It doesn’t get much better than this, especially when Big D pulls out the W.

Week 3 – Monday, September 28th at home against the Carolina Panthers – The Cowboys only date on Monday Night Football all season long and it should be a victorious one, as they get to play at home against Carolina.

Week 4 – Sunday, October 4th at the Denver Broncos – You’ll most likely find this game with a very close spread, but the slight edge will go to the home team.

Week 5 – Sunday, October 5th at Kansas City Chiefs – The Chiefs should be much improved this year, but they won’t be good enough to stop the Cowboys.

Week 7 – Sunday, October 24th at home against the Atlanta Falcons – The Cowboys will be coming off a bye week, and the week of rest will help them take care of the Falcons.

Week 8 – Sunday, November 1st at home against the Seattle Seahawks – Another home game and another victory as the Seahawks will be down again this season.

Week 9 -Sunday, November 8th at the Philadelphia Eagles – It’s always tough going on the road in the division and picking up a win, so I give the edge to Philly here.

Week 10 – Sunday, November 15th at the Green Bay Packers – Traveling up to Lambeau wasn’t as difficult without having to deal with Favre last year, but give the edge to Green Bay here.

Week 11 – Sunday, November 22nd at home against the Washington Redskins – A good bounce back here for the Cowboys as they pick up a divisional win.

Week 12 – Thursday, November 26th at home against the Oakland Raiders – You have to love playing Oakland at home, chalk this one up in the win column.

Week 13 – Sunday, December 6th at the New York Giants – One of the best teams in the league and playing them on the road?  This looks like a loss.

Week 14 – Sunday, December 13th at home against the San Diego Chargers – This should be a great game that the Cowboys will feel great about afterwards.

Week 15 – Saturday, December 19th at the New Orleans Saints – Going to New Orleans  and winning will be a tall task for anyone so I’m guessing they fall short.

Week 16 – Sunday, December 27th at the Washington Redskins – If Washington is still in contention, this will be a great game that I see the home team prevailing.

Week 17 – Sunday, January 3rd at home against the Philadelphia Eagles -Ending the season with their 10th win and a key victory against an NFC opponents.

This team should win enough games to make the NFL playoffs.  Do you want help winning with your NFL betting this year?  Then make sure you sign up for the NFL expert picks offered by our handicappers.  Nobody works harder at breaking down the spreads and delivering winning NFL football picks than our handicapper do.
