Andy Reid is one of the best football brains in the NFL and QB Donovan McNabb is still a top-flight signal caller. Reid some brilliant moves in the off-season to give McNabb some toys to play with on offense and the defense is still stifling. The Eagles reached their 5th conference title in 8 seasons and they are well on there way to get to another NFC title game again in 2009.

The Eagles offense still runs through RB Brian Westbrook who is still the most dangerous receiverrusher in the NFL. Westbrook however always seems to be banged up in one way or another and his productivity wanes. Added to help relieve Westbrook was rookie RB LeSean McCoy is an instinctive back that fits in perfectly to Eagles pass-happy scheme. Donovan McNabb stepped his game up after being benched last season and now has a set of playmaking wideouts to damage with. The Eagles scored 416 points a year ago and could top that mark with the new additions.

The defense will have to do without brilliant defensive coordinator Jim Johnson who is battling cancer but the scheme will remain the same. The eagles defense abuses QB’s and recorded an incredible 48.0 sacks last season. While most of Philadelphia’s players are not household names they are stacked with playmaking studs. The secondary is one of the best in the NFL with bookend cover cornerbacks in Sheldon Brown and Asante Samuel. Special teams has had problems with kicks being blocked but is still an above-average unit overall.
