2011 NCAA Tournament Final Four Odds
Written by Steve Janus - Google +
For the first time in the history of the NCAA Tournament there will not be at least one No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the Final Four. This Saturday we will find out which two teams will be playing for the National Championship on Monday. If the first five rounds are any indication of what’s to come, we are in for one heck of Final Four this weekend!
The early game (6:10 ET) will feature the No. 8 Butler Bulldogs out of the Southeast Region against the No. 11 VCU Rams out of the Southwest Region. This will be the first Final Four matchup between two teams that were seeded eight or lower.
In the late matchup (8:50 ET) the No. 4 Kentucky Wildcats, who advanced out of a difficult East Region, will take on the No. 3 Connecticut Huskies, who continued to roll with four impressive wins in the West Region. The Huskies beat the Wildcats 84-67 at the Maui Invitational early in the regular-season, but Kentucky is playing much better than they
Taking a look at our NCAA Tournament odds, Kentucky is favored by 2-points over Connecticut with the total set at 140, while Butler is favored by 2.5-points over VCU with the total sitting at 133. While Kentucky and Butler are favored, these games could go either way.
As many of you might already know, there is plenty more you can wager on when it comes to the Final Four, and I wanted to take some time to share with you some interesting prop bets you can place on the games in Houston at Bodog.com. If you see something you like be sure to go lock it in, as the odds could change as we get closer to Saturday.
