Georgia Tech at Miami (FL) - Opinions please
I suspect I will play Miami (-4.5) tonight.
I notice the lines at oddschecker.com vary between 4.5 and 6 so there is some scope for value inasmuch as it is very likely one of those propositions offers a better than 52.38% chance.
I was impressed by Miami in the opening game; I got +7.5 at a bit of a price cost (but not too much) because I was scared of a one-score defeat but I thought they deserved their win.
Now after a week off they may have a small advantage although it is early season, and the Georgia Tech QB Nesbitt had a terrible game - I wonder if he was on an off-day or if he is just not very good?
The point of interest I would like to focus on vis-a-vis others opinions is the astonishing game between these two last year when Georgia Tech rushed for 472 yards!
What in your opinion is the effect of the memory of that; both on the betting line and on the play of the game?
And who are you betting tonight, and why?

I like Miami because of the poise of their young quarter back. The kid had ice water flowing through his veins last week. That game was a much harder task than this one. Yes, GT ran for an amazing amount of yards last year but that was LAST YEAR and a VERY YOUNG Miami defense. With another year under their belt this squad looks primed for a good run at the top 10 and an challange VT for ACC title spot. I went against Miami in the FSU game because I wasn't aware of the capabilities of this young quarterback. I look for him to cut apart the GT secondary and The U to contain the run and limit the big plays on D.

I like Ga. Tech in this game.
I think Tech will out-physical the hurricanes and Ga. Tech's almost wishbone type offense will wear Miami's defense down by the 4th quarter.
I am slightly concearned about the yellowjackets on the road so i'm not playing the money line , but i do believe tech will win the game.

Hey Bill!
A little late to throw in my 2 cents, its the end of the 3rd quarter, but just logged in and read your post. It looks like Miami's quarterback is carving up GT's secondary at will!! I can't remember the odds for last years game? I did watch it. Tonights game totally different play!! Totally different style. I did love Miami tonight when it was 4.5, but I waited and it went to 5.5. Ended up moneylining Miami , was chicken-shit to take the points as well. I figured GT would be tough enough to stay close , so I clicked on them to cover. Christ, they haved covered 9 out of the past 10 games. Still have the 4th Q to go but I don't see a comeback! We'll see!! Best of Luck!
