Predictions:

Anderson Silva (-500) vs Forrest Griffin (+300)

As much as I enjoy Forrest as a fighter, he is no match for Anderson's pin point accuracy. this will be the second time Anderson will be fighting at 205 and after his last 2 disappointing performances at 185 I think he will come out and turn it up early. I think Anderson Silva wins by KO in 1st round.

Tandam McCrory (-175) vs John Howard (+145)

Tandam comes from a good camp and is very tall and lanky. This gives him a good advantage on the ground and normally a huge reach advantage. John is new to the UFC and the "Big Show" jitters could come into play here as well. I think Tandam wins by submission in the 2nd round.

Ricardo Almeida (160) vs Kendall Grove (+130)

Almeida is a seasoned veteran in the octagon. He has an unbelievable ground game that I say is second to none. I look for him to close the distance early and take this to the ground where he will be more effective. Grove has had some good fights and has blossomed into a good fighter. His long reach and hieght could cause issues for Almeida, as he needs to keep this off the mat. I think Almeida wins by submission in the 1st round.

Thales Leites (-525) vs Alessio Sakara (+350)

Once again this is a striker vs grappler match. Sakara will look to keep this on their feet while Leites will try to get this to the mat ASAP. Alessio is a throw in guy that has had some great fights and some quick losses. Leites comes off of and embarrassing performance against Anderson Silva where he laid on his back for 5 rounds while Anderson would not jump into his guard. Alessio is coming off a devastating head kick the ended his night early in the first 2 min of the first round. If Sakara can keep this on its feet, then I think it could swing his way. Leites will try very quickly to rush him and submit him as fast as possible. I think Leites wins 2nd round by submission.

Josh Neer (-250) vs Kurt Pelligrino (+190)

This could be the fight of the night as both Neer and Pelligrino love to bang. This will most likely not go to the ground at all unless there is a mistake on ones of the fighters part and then Neer would have a slight the advantage, having won 11 of his 27 victories by submission. Pelligrino is no amateur in the submission game either with 9 submissions out of 13 wins. Pelligrino has won his last 2 against very tough opponents in Rob Emerson and Thiago Tavares. Oddly enough both fighters have lost to Nate Diaz. I think Kurt Pelligrino wins by TKO in 2nd round.

BJ Penn (-340) vs Kenny Florian (+210)

I give much respect to BJ, he is and will be one of the greatest fighters to enter the ring in the 170 lb and under divisions. That being said, his cardio has always been suspect and I see nothing different here. Kenny is relentless and his elbows always seem to hit their mark. I feel it is Kennys time as he has run through the pack and has truly earned this. I think Kenny Florian wins by TKO (Ref Stoppage) in the 3rd round.

I hope you enjoy the predictions and win some money!!! Good luck all!

4-2 isn't too bad, but that big favorite in Leites losing kind of hurt your overall take on the event.

Looking forward to your next post on the next set of fights.
