Two games down...strategic considerations now apply...I almost must rote-oppose...but here I am quite happy to do so so it's a particularly easy call...
I have to admit, I was pretty excited when I saw that you picked against me with New Orleans (-2.5). I haven't felt that good about a game in this contest since 04/02 when I picked Penn St. (Big TEN) over Baylor. Denver is clearly the better team in this series, and they were coming off a tough loss with revenge on their mind, and not wanting to lose control of the series by going 2-2. Pretty easy call in my mind, but nonetheless.
With my next selection I'm going to go with:
Chicago @ Boston OVER 199 total points
There are other picks that I like better than this pick and I'm a little more nervous about this pick this time because of the injury to Gordon, but I still see good value in it and it's brought me good luck so far so I'm going to keep riding until it throws me off. I have to admit that I've been lucky a couple times with this pick by getting into overtime, but I'd rather be lucky than good any day. It's just that this pick is so obvious to me; with the departure of KG, Boston's defense is just nothing compared to what it was when he was healthy, and Chicago likes to get up and down the floor, so it's only natural that alot of points should be scored.

** I probably just jinxed myself by writing this big, drawn out explanation of all of my thoughts, but hopefully I can hold on for the victory over these next 3 days. **

I had to do it really...being two down means you have to lose a few if I'm going to win so strategically only those cases are relevant. Thusly given that in all relevant circumstances you have already backed a loser the other side is an automatic win so it would be futile to try to find a different winner!

Similarly, I now have absolutely no sensible choice now than to oppose directly. You have four wins to my one and therefore lead by three with three to play. If I am to win overall, thusly, you must lose all three of your selections in any case. Therefore I can ensure all three wins I need by taking the other side (excluding pushes and so forth).
However, you must of course get at least one of your final three correct or we may tie on four and I shall prevail on the come-from-behind rule!!
However, sincere congratulations on going 4-0 in the championship round!
Ah, well done - not one Bulls/Celtics total going over in overtime only but two, eh? Otherwise it would still be pretty close without one or both of those two...
However, you have gone 5-0 and that is a championship performance. I offer you my sincere congratulations.
As I cannot now win, I accept my runners-up spot, and congratulate the winner! Well done.
Just to finish out the round and see how I do to round out the month, I'm picking:
Denver -10.5
This was a much easier pick when they were favored by 5/6 in Games 1 & 2 of this series, but I still expect a 20 point victory to finish off the Hornets tonight.
