NFL Draft
Does ayone else think that Matthew Stafford is going to be a bust? The lions could have solidified other needs. I hate the Lions but I don't see a franchise quarterback in this draft. At least they didnt draft a wide reciever.

Janus and I were just talking about how Stafford is total bust city. That franchise is going to be in a hole for a long time coming.
Somehow everyone is jumping on the Sanchez bandwagon now too.
Are the Browns really trading Brady Quinn? Not that I'm sold on him but what's the point when Anderson had such a bad year?

The biggest surprise was Heyward-Bey going 7th overall. Many had him falling atleast into the Mid 20's. Personally, I think Stafford will be a bust because hes going to Detriot. I think Sanchez will have a little more success, but I hope he never makes the Super Bowl.
BEST PICK MICHEAL OHERR ha

I agree, the Lions suck and will for some time. However, this is of course a relative concept - what makes them suck is their standard versus the rest of the league.
What is of some interest is a more objective standard - how good are they versus all teams in NFL (Superbowl-era) history? How would they do versus Bart Starr's Packers, for instance?
Peter Schmeichel, of Manchester United's 1999 European Champion team said that if that team had met the 1968 European Cup winning team of Best, Charlton et al, even in their prime, they would have won 10-0!
Thoughts about Stafford vs Starr?
