    Default Brett Favre

Growing up as a Packer's fan, this news made me very sad.

No turning back now for the Vikings - NFC North - ESPN

What do you guys think? Ack. Seeing him in a Vikings uniform will make me cry.

I just want him to go away.

I was never a big Favre fan to begin with, but near the end of his career with the Packers I had started to respect what he had accomplished.

Now it's a big ridiculous circus, and I think he's a joke. He has worn out that "awh shucks" hillbilly routine and nobody's buying it anymore. He's just out to keep his name in the headlines and that, my friends, has nothing to do with wanting to make a team better, and everything to do with stroking his massive ego.

In my opinion he is only damaging his legacy by playing for the Vikings this season, but I guess that's his prerogative.

I think Scotty Ferrall sums it up quite nicely:

"So I heard Brett Favre was looking at non-surgical options, such as blowing himself. I'm tired of hearing about this fucking guy. ESPN: get a new hobby."

You know I too have been a Packers fan all my life. As a small shit , my hero was Bart Starr. I do like Brett a lot, was kind of shocked to see him go to the Jets. He really played awful the 2nd half of the season. Didn't realize he had a bum throwing arm! You know if he is A OK to go this year, let him, Hell the Vikings could use the experience. Possibly take that division. I just think all the HYPE this creates BLOWS! I wanted him to hang them up, with still a head on his shoulders, but he must believe he's got another season in him and maybe silence all the BS> bring on the NFL season and watch a number 4 with horns!!

    Well , i'll be damned !!!!!!!!!

It's time for Tavaris Jackson to MAN UP !!!!!!!!!

... For shits sake , Tavaris Jackson couldnt win the starting job at any other NFL team , how is he going to beat out Brett Favre ?

I just hope the Vikings know they're going to need another 10-12 million dollar quarterback next year ! ...

    Default No Brett

I was hoping the guy would stay retired. I admit I am a fan of his. I'm hoping he doesn't get crunched!! If he makes it thru a few games we'll see. Childers believes he can get it done with Farve, I just don't see Jackson or Rosenfels or Booty for that matter taking them ...say win the division and go farther!! Go Vikes!!

I actually was pretty happy when the Vikings traded for Sage this offseason. It's tough to get a handle on Minnesota right now. To me it seems like if they just had someone under center to manage the offense and let the talented Adrian Peterson do most of the damage they could have made a serious run last year. Will that happen this year with Favre? I guess we will soon find out.
