Question Big 4 & ncaa sue delaware

The NFL,NHL,MLB,NBA, and the NCAA have sued the state of Delaware to block the implementation of legalized sports wagering.

Earlier this year the Delaware State Legislature re-ammended an article in the state constitution to allow legal sports wagering. (apparently they had sports wagering previously)

The one ' alleged ' quote from the suit says " it would do irreparable damage to the leagues if people foster suspicion that certain plays or even the final result of a game was influenced by outside factors other than honest competition"

... my first thought on this is that it's preposterous because we already have Las Vegas as well as all the other stuff . So how could the bettors of Delaware be so 'bad' to cause these problems and foster ' suspicion' ?

.. my second thought is that i applaud the state of Delaware for trying to generate tax revenue from gambling when this country is full of indian casinos that dont pay any reasonable taxes ( although they are good for the local communities)

.. my third thought is, that if i didnt gamble i would watch a lot less games than i do. I sure as hell wouldnt be paying for mlb extra innings and espn game plan if i didnt gamble. ... i'm a true sports fan as well as a gambler so i would still watch sports and keep up with things , but i would watch a lot less sports than i cuurently do.

--- what's everybody elses thought ?
