Lakers -8 vs. Pacers
*5* Units
The Lakers are currently hands downs the best team in the NBA. They are 14-1, with their only loss coming to a solid Detroit team. Kobe Bryant is surrounded by a ton of talent and the Lakers will cruise to a win in this one.
Indiana’s style of play will play right into the hands of LA. The Lakers love playing a fast-paced game and that is exactly what the Pacers are going to do. No team in the NBA can outrun LA. Indiana really struggles defensively. They allow just less than 100 points per game and have allowed over that in five of their past six contests.
The days of LA being a one man team are long gone. The Lakers have six or seven players than can put up 20 with Kobe on any given night. They have multiple players than can score inside, but can also consistently knock down jumpers. Look for Andrew Bynum to have a huge night. The Pacers lack size inside. In two meetings against Indiana last season, Bynum missed only three shots and averaged 20 and 12 in these two games.
Many people fail to realize how well Los Angeles is playing defense. The Lakers are allowing just 94 points per game. They have the athletes to match up with Danny Granger and company.
The Lakers will continue to dominate their competition. Play the Lakers -8 over the Pacers.
