Georgia at Oklahoma State Picks

Written September 5, 2009 by Jack Jones

Georgia Oklahoma State FootballThe marquee game of the afternoon set takes place when Georgia heads to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State.  The Cowboys are one of the teams to watch for a lot of experts out there, so this will be a test to see if they are for real or not.  The current college football odds show Oklahoma State as a 5.5 point favorite with the total set at 60.  If you are looking for a place to do your football betting on this game or others, Sportsbook.com offers a 50% signup bonus and a FREE $25 bet to new customers.  If you want help finding out who is going to win this one, check out the football picks being offered today by our experts on the game.

Robbie Gainous of Gator Sports has his 4* ATS Shocker of the Week going on this game and it is backed by several key factors that have gone 27-4 ATS over their last 31 tries.

Jordan Haimowitz grew quite a following this summer with his BEST BETS and he’s got one going on Saturday here in this Big 12/SEC showdown.  He has gone 15-8 over the last week and looks to keep rolling here today with this easy winner.

Rob Vincilleti is another top handicapper who has had steady winning seasons year after year in college football.  Grab his Cowboys/Bulldogs winner and watch it cash on live TV.

Craig Trapp has issued a free pick on the game so read his report below to get his thoughts:

Oklahoma State returns nearly every offensive player off a top 10 offensive unit from 2008. Last year they nearly averaged 500 yards per game good enough to finish 6th in the country. Dez Bryant is one of the top receivers in all of football and with a very dangerous Zac Robinson at QB they are so explosive. Don’t forget they also return a 1500 yard rusher in Kendall Hunter.

Offense will not be the problem this year but the defense is another story. New defensive coordinator Bill Young will have his hands full trying to improve a defense that was downright horrible last year. The good news is they don’t have to win games on defense but just have to slow down the other team and let the offense do the hard part.

The Georgia Bulldogs have one of the best returning defenses in college football for ‘09. They return 9 starter on defense and have depth at every position. This unit will carry the load in 2009 and they will only go as far as this defense carries them.
The Bulldogs on offense have some big shoes to fill. Losing two first round NFL draft picks: QB Matt Stafford and RB Knowshon Mareno. Not sure if you can believe the coaches from Georgia as many say they will not miss a beat on offense. That would be hard to believe. The good news is they return star WR AJ Green who is very explosive. Also a very good offensive line should help them control the line of scrimmage.

These two teams have faced off three times, all won by the Georgia Bulldogs.

Take Oklahoma State -5 and feel confident that the offense will be in full swing in week 1. Don’t believe in Georgia’s offense and can’t imagine the can score 28 plus points. Which is how many it would take to cover the spread.
