Golf Predictions

Written January 5, 2009 by Jack Jones

If you want to see who is going to win this week, check out our weekly golf predictions archive for the latest news and notes from the PGA Tour!

All season long one of our resident PGA Tour experts will be giving detailed golf predictions for our readers, including some of the best bets on the board that he thinks show value for bettors!  These predictions are going to be offered on who has the best chanc eof winning the tournament, but those of you who are in to golf betting know that you can also bet on head-to-head matchups.  Our guys don’t offer those kinds of PGA picks, but you might be able to find someone to follow in our golf betting forum.

Along with our weekly PGA predictions, you’ll also find extensive coverage from our handicappers on all of the majors.  Getting started with the seoond weekend in April for the Masters, we will also have in-depth coverage of the US Open, the Open Championship, and finally the PGA Championship.  These are the most bet on events of the professional golf season, and we want to help make sure that if you are going to place any wagers then you will have the best chance of coming out on top.

One thing that you should know about the PGA Tour predictions offered by our handicappers is that they are based off of value.  You won’t see Jason Lowry just going through and picking the top three favorites to win the tournament as they are the ones that are supposed to have the best chance of winning.  Instead he’s trying to find guys like Zach Johnson, who will be listed around 25-to-1 to win a tournament and find the courses that fit his game and the times that he seems to be finding a groove.  If he thinks Zach will tee it up and win the event better than one out of 25 times, then that is a value play worth betting on.

Of course, guys like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can show value at times too, but it’s going to be more rare.  When the odds on Tiger winning an event are even, which means you can bet on Tiger or the field, more times than not the field is going to come out on top, even though some times it sure doesn’t seem like that’s the case!

We hope you use the PGA golf predictions on our site to beat the golf odds on who is going to win the tournament on schedule for the week.  Remember that we cover a lot more sports than just golf, so if you like to bet on sports then we can help you win!
