  • Bet more underdogs than favorites
  • When looking at NFL totals, bet over on low numbers, and under on high numbers
  • Do not just bet for action and/or because it is on TV
  • Do not chase losses with 5/10/15 or more unit plays
  • Never buy points, if you think a game is that close then there is more value elsewhere
  • Form a plan and stick to it, don’t make rash bets to recoup losses
  • Avoid teasers and parlays unless you have determined some advantage
  • Go against the public line moves in second half bets
  • Limit your taking of road favorites in any sport
  • Limit your betting of over’s – stick to under’s if anything
  • Avoid chasing for it all on midnight Hawaii games and such
  • Remember that a push is as good as a -reload-. Don’t get greedy. Don’t play to win – play to not lose
  • Be selective
  • Strength of schedule and strength of conference are a big factor in college sport
