There has been much speculation on whether Tiger Woods can win all four majors this year for the Grand Slam of golf. A record no man has yet to accomplish, and one Tiger wants more than anything. If there is any golfer of today that has the ability to do so, it’s Tiger. Tiger is already the only golfer to hold all four majors at once (Tiger Slam), winning the U.S. Open in 2000, and not losing again till the U.S. Open in 2001. Tiger himself thinks that the feat is something he says can “easily” be done. While the odds of years past weigh heavily against him, how do you ever bet against him? He has looked dominant almost every time he steps foot on the course, winning the last 5 tournaments he has entered. He has shown the ability to blow everyone out and have the tournament wrapped up after just 2 or 3 days, and he most recently shown his amazing ability to make birdie after birdie when needed when he won the Dubai Classic. So with all that said we are going to predict the number of majors we think Tiger will win in 2008.

Our Prediction: 4 Majors 7/2

We too are believers that this will be the year history is made and Tiger will add to his list of records when he wins all 4 majors in one calendar year. Tiger is coming off an amazing year in 2007 and has looked great so far in 2008. We see easy victories in the Masters, U.S. Open, and British Open. Once Tiger gets to 3 there is no stopping him, he will put everything he has into finishing off this historic event. Everyone knows that he is the best at being mentally and physically prepared for the enormous amounts of pressure that go along with being the best at what he does. Tiger has the ability of making those ahead of him worry, with his ability to birdie at will, and those behind him to take shots they aren’t prepared to take.

Tiger’s swing has looked better than ever, and his putting is something that is absolutely beautiful to watch. The thing with Tiger is that he doesn’t have to hit the driver to have a good second shot. Also, he has the incredible ability of making any shot imaginable. So with his driving being the least of importance, his iron play and short game are what will carry him to victories. His ability to read the greens gives every putt and chip shot a great chance of going in. This could also cause golf to soar in ratings, as just with the Super Bowl there will be those who want nothing more than to see Tiger stumble, there will also be those who want to witness history in the making. Though we were deprived of the chance of seeing it happen when the Giants won, Tiger will not let fans down and come August the PGA Championship will be one of the most talked about tournaments of our lifetime.

A few other interesting facts are that if Tiger is able to win the Masters, U.S. Open, and the British Open he will have completed the “Tiger slam” for the second time. With a win at the PGA Championship he could not only win the Grand Slam of golf, but his third straight PGA Championship, and fifth major in a row. Also, with a Grand Slam, Tiger would climb all the way to 17 major championships. This would leave him one behind Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18, and make for a very exciting 2009 golf season.

So before he wins the first two tournaments, and the odds drop dramatically get your bet in at Sportsbook.com, and be one of the lucky ones that not only predicted history, but also have the proof to show for it.
