Indianapolis Colts v. Houston Texans NFL Betting Lines
Written October 3, 2008 by Jay Todd

Peyton Manning and the Colts are coming off a loss and a bye week, so look for them to be hungry to get back to their dominating ways this Sunday in Houston. The Colts know that they can’t afford to lose anymore ground in the AFC South. Look for Manning and the experienced Colts to bring the A game and continue their dominance over Houston. The betting odds at BetUS show the Colts as a 3 point favorite over the Texans.
Peyton Manning has been average so far this year. Coming off a bye week, look for him to get back to his record-setting self against Houston. Manning has had some huge games against Houston in previous years. Manning is 11-1 vs. the Texas and has averaged 275 yards passing in each game in this match up. He has tossed 29 touchdowns and just five interceptions in these 12 games. Look for Manning to continue to shred the Houston secondary.
Look for Dallas Clark to be more involved in the passing game this week. Clark has always been a big key for Manning’s success and he hasn’t gotten off to a slow start. He is finally fully healthy. Clark scored three touchdowns in the two meetings against Houston last year. Look for the Manning to Clark connection to happen early and often on Sunday.
There is no doubt Tony Dungy has been preaching to his defense to stop the run. Give Dungy a bye week to work with a struggling defense, and they will look like a new core of players. Look for the Colts D to step it up and make things miserable for rookie running back Steve Slaton. Houston will struggle to score in this game.
Play the Colts -3 against the Texas. The Colts will be focused and ready, as they can’t afford to lose any more ground to the Titans.
