NFL Free Pick for Sunday

So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.

Jack’s NFL Free Pick For Sunday: Carolina Panthers -3

The Panthers finally have some positive momentum after erasing a 15-point deficit to beat the Washington Redskins last week. That momentum will carry with them down south where the Panthers have won 5 of their last 6 trips to Tampa Bay. The Bucs are 0-5 this season and really haven’t been all that competitive in many of their losses. Tampa gives up 28.0 points/game this season. The Panthers are 40-17 ATS vs. bad defensive teams who give up 24 or more points/game since 1992. The Bucs are one of the worst teams against the run, allowing 153 rushing yards/game and 4.7 yards/carry. This is critical because the Panthers are a power running team behind the two-headed attack of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Both are off to slow starts, but each will get going in this one. In a 38-23 win in their last meeting, Carolina rushed for 299 yards against the Bucs as both Stewart and Williams scored two touchdowns each. Carolina is 22-8 ATS versus poor offensive teams – averaging <=4.75 yards/play since 1992. The Bucs are struggling on both sides of the football, and this is a big-time mismatch with Tampa Bay in rebuilding mode and Carolina built to win now. Take the Panthers.
