jacks-free-picks-011909 What can I really say? I lost my butt last night on the Eagles. I thought they grabbed the momentum in the 2nd half, but it wasn’t enough to get them past the Cards. Luckily, I did hit my 10* on Northwestern to help soften the blow, but it was a difficult night to say the least. What I will say is that I will fight to get yesterday’s losses back with basketball plays this week, starting with two 15* Surefire Winners today. I’ve got a 15* play in the NBA and a 15* play in college hoops on the premium side and you can get them both with one package. Golden State Warriors -5 over Washington Wizards at BetUS
Take the Golden State Warriors tonight over the Washington Wizards. Washington currently has the 2nd worst overall record in the NBA and they are one of the worst road teams in the association at just 2-16 on the year. The Warriors have won 4 straight against the spread against teams from the Eastern Conference and they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games. Head-to-head this has been a back-and-forth type of series over the years, but the home team in the match up has won the previous 2 contests. Golden State catches a lot of flack for their defense, and rightfully so. They are surrendering 112 points per game, but keep in mind that they also score over 106 points per game. The Warriors should have no problem scoring against a Washington squad that already gives up over 100 points per game on the road, and I simply can’t see the Wizards keeping up on the offensive end as they score just 92.3 points per game on the road. All of the advantages tonight point toward the Warriors, give the 5 points and take Golden State at home tonight.

What’s not to like about the over with two of the best scoring offenses in the NBA on the same court tonight? Both teams score over 100 points per game and the Suns’ defense is giving up over 100 points per game. Boston does have better numbers on defense than the Suns, particularly at home, but I don’t think defense is going to be a huge factor in tonight’s meeting. I expect both teams to run up and down the court and see who can out-score who. The Suns will keep the tempo up and because both teams shoot so well from the floor, they should have no problem trading points throughout the game. The last time these two met there was a total of 214 points scored. At least that many points should be scored tonight as both teams should find the century mark with time left to go over the total in the fourth quarter.
