Jack’s Free Pick For Tuesday: LA-Lafayette +13 at Bookmaker

This is a very generous line for a LA-Lafayette team that returns all 5 starters this season. The Rajin Cajuns have played much better than their 1-3 record indicates, losing all 3 games by 7 points or less. LSU’s true colors have shown in their last 2 games, losing by 26 points to UConn and 19 points to Arizona State. Yes, the Tigers are still a decent team, but they aren’t 13 points better than Lafayette. LSU is 4-14 ATS after 3 consecutive non-conference games over the last 3 seasons. The Tigers are 1-8 ATS vs. teams who are called for 3+ less fouls/game than their opponents over the last 3 seasons. Lafayette plays sound basketball with all 5 starters returning, and their experience will allow them to keep it close with a team the caliber of LSU tonight. Take LA-Lafayette.
