Jack’s Free Pick For Friday:  Miami Heat +12 at Bookmaker

Miami did not put up much of a fight in their last outing with a bad loss to Denver, likely looking ahead to this game against the defending champion L.A. Lakers.  Look for Dwyane Wade to take it on his shoulders to give his team a chance to win tonight in L.A.  The Heat have given the Lakers all they could handle and more in recent meetings.  They won 89-87 at home, then followed that up with a hard-fought 105-108 road loss in their last meeting as 11-point underdogs.  The Lakers will get the Heat’s best effort tonight, and it will be good enough to cover this double-digit spread.  Miami is 28-16 ATS after having lost 2 of their last 3 games over the last 2 seasons.  The Heat are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog of 11.0 or greater.  The Heat are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points.  Take Miami.
