Villanova -1 over Providence at Bookmaker
The Wildcats have won three straight games, none of which that they allowed more than 61 points in, to get to 17-4 overall and 5-3 in Big East play. They are coming off a game in which they held Cincinnati to 29% shooting and forced 18 turnovers. Providence is going to have to find a way to bounce back from their 94-61 drubbing to UConn on Saturday and even though they have had some success at home that 30 point blowout will have to have some lingering effects. The Friars have been balanced on offense all year long, but the athleticism of Villanova will prove to be too much. The Wildcats pick up a key conference win tonight.
Missouri +4.5 over Texas at Bookmaker
At 18-4 The Tigers have the better record than the 16th-ranked and 15-5 Texas Longhorns but they aren’t getting much respect. Texas also has to bounce back from their home overtime loss to Kansas State last Saturday. The Tigers are coming off an impressive 89-72 win over Baylor on Saturday and are getting big seasons out of DeMarre Carroll and Leo Lyons. Those two have contributed heavily to a Tiger offense that is averaging 85 ppg while holding their opponents to only 66.5 points on 41% shooting. Take the under-rated team and the points here.

Got something to say?

Wish I could concur with you. Don’t know much about these teams except that I think Texas should win.

I do agree with you on both of these picks (I think both teams should win the game straight up) but it is hard for me to bet against home teams unless I really like the game.

Villanova good pick with providence reeling from big loss. I like texas though, kstate lit up mizzou running and firing from outside texas will do the same.

I don’t like Villanova tonight. They may be nationally ranked but Prov. is ahead of them in the big east, which gives Prov. more of a reason to protect their home floor Plus Prov. has an offense, They avg over 80 points a game at home. Give me Prov. on the money line

Hard to pick against Providence which has slight advantage playing on home court.

Villanova is on a roll right now since they won their game vs pittsburgh. Their confidence is up and their team is playing really well and they should take care of a providence team that just doesn’t have the talent like nova.
People look at the rankings and think that just because texas is ranked and mizzouri isnt that it must mean texas is the clear cut winner here, WRONG, mizzou has one of the best offenses in the country and is rolling right now.
Great picks once again Jack,
