Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 3/9
Written March 9, 2009 by Jack Jones
Time to bounce back from a bad weekend. I’ve only got two plays on Monday, one being a 20* NBA No-Brainer on a total, and the other a 15* CBB winner on the late Sun Belt game. It’s a marathon and not a sprint and over the long haul I know I’ll build your bankroll and put extra cash in your pocket.
Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the NCAA basketball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.
Make sure you check out the March Madness Contest with Trev Rogers by heading to the service plays forum to see who is taking who. Also, for those of you interested in joining the play of the day contest, the lines are up and a few people have already locked in their picks there as well.
Free Picks for Monday
So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer. Where do I find these lines? Check out our NBA odds and college basketball lines pages to see which sportsbook has the best number!
Minnesota Timberwolves -3.5 over Washington at BetUS
Both Minnesota and Washington are bad, but I’ll go with the Wolves tonight here are coming off a two point loss in Portland on Saturday night and get to play this game at home. Washington has lost five straight and the last two games at San Antonio and Dallas have come by a minimum of 16 points. I know the Wolves haven’t been playing well without Al Jefferson, but this young squad needs a win and going against a Washington team that has been worse than they are gives them a solid chance. Minnesota should be motivated here since they have dropped three straight to Washington, but those were against better Wizards teams. Play on home favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points when they are revenging a loss to an opponent who scored more than 110 points against them when that team is coming off a double digit loss. 69-36 (65.7%) since 1996.
Free Pick Records:
CBB: 44-30
NBA: 20-22
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1
I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer.

I agree with jacob. This game is a coin toss. Could go either way both teams suck and have nothing to play for. If i had to choose i would probably take Washington though.
