Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 4/1

Written April 1, 2009 by Jack Jones

grizzlies-wizardsA nice profitable 5-2 day on Tuesday sets us up for a big week of winning.  Now 23-10 on my last 33 in the NBA and I’m ready to keep pouring it on the books here Wednesday night.  I have FOUR plays going tonight, including a 20* BEST BET Late Night Bailout on the Kings/Warriors.  Also on today’s card are a PAIR of 15* winners and a 15* on the college game.  Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the NCAA basketball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.

The run to March Madness is on at SPORTSBETTING.COM.  They have great bonuses for new customers, plus re-load bonuses for subsequent deposits.  Head to SPORTSBETTING.COM today, signup for a new account, and enter their huge March Madness contest!

Free Premium Picks: Comment on my free pick article for today over at Betfirms.com. Tell me why you agree or disagree with today’s free pick and get tonight’s NBA 15* play! I send the free premium picks out in one batch today around 5 PM EST, so if you post after they’ve been sent you’ll get tomorrow’s play.

Free Picks for Wednesday

So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer. Where do I find these lines? Check out our NBA odds and college basketball lines pages to see which sportsbook has the best number!

Memphis Grizzlies -2.5 over Washington Wizards at BetUS

Even though Gilbert Arenas has returned to play a few games, he’s been downgraded to doubtful for tonight and likely won’t be on the floor.  That just adds to the laundry list of injuries for Wizard players, which should give the edge to the Grizzlies on their home floor.  Memphis has won two out of their last three games, with wins over other bottom feeders in Golden State and Sacramento on the road.  No reason they can’t pick up the W here at home tonight.  In early February, Memphis came out on top 113-97 in Washington, and the result is likely going to be similar tonight in the FedEx Forum.

Free Pick Records:

CBB: 50-36
NBA: 24-30
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1

I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer and stop by every day for more free NBA picks from top handicappers.

nice play last night on the blazers jack. on tonights pick i think you just may get two free picks in a row correct. wizards have packed their bags for the season and are already starting vacation. they are depleted and worst of all for the betting world they are hard to predict who shows up from game to game. there may be a bench player or two that get hot but not real likely. two in a row for jack…taking the grizzlies of memphis -2.5. good luck.

Can’t disagree with your take on the Grizzlies. The only problem with bottom feeders are, they are inconsistent, or should I say, consistently inconsistent. Wizards in a revenge spot……hmmmmm….Do they even no what the term revenge means anymore? Will Memphis overlook the Wizards after being on cloud 9 with two straight wins behind them? I’ve made it a habit not to play ‘bad’ teams as favorites, and haven’t lost because of it. I’ll sit this one out, tempting as it seems. I will however predict that the game goes Under (203) as Memphis continues to work on their half-court game and the Wizards couldn’t care less about the tempo this evening.
