Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 4/17

Written April 17, 2009 by Jack Jones

brewers-mets-free-pick-041709Special 2-for-1 Offer!  So many of you have been taking advantage of our special offer that I’m going to keep it going for the foreseeable future.  I’ll offer a matching subscription of my service when you buy any of these three handicappers: Mike Lineback, Steve Merril, and Jimmy Boyd.  Lineback is on a 20-2 run in the NBA and just lowered his NBA playoff package to $175, which I think is a great buy.  Steve Merril is currently ranked #3 in MLB and has dominated all sports through the years.  Then there is Jimmy Boyd who has done a great job in all sports since the beginning of the year, just like he has in years past.  If you want to buy a subscription of any of these guys, I’ll give you the same subscription for my service as well.  You have to email me your username, plus that you are taking me up on my offer to get this deal.  There is no automation behind this.

Today: 20* on the Blue Jays comes through easily for my 6th 20* win in 8 tries this MLB Season.  Free picks have hit a rough patch with three straight losers, but after 7 straight winners it’s hard to complain.  Looking to bounce back with a strong free pick today.  On the premium side I have a total of 4 picks with a 20* No Doubt Rout tonight along with three 15* plays.  Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the baseball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.

Free Premium Picks: Comment on my free pick article for today over at Betfirms.com.  Tell me why you agree or disagree with today’s free pick and get tonight’s 15* MLB play for FREE!  Keep in mind that I send this play out to everyone in one batch, usually around 4pm

Free Picks for Friday

So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.

New York Mets -123 at Sportsbook.com

I like the Mets to get the win tonight over the Milwaukee Brewers behind the strong veteran arm of Livan Hernandez.  Hernandez isn’t going to overpower hitters anymore, but he pitches smart and eats up a lot of innings.  Livan will faces a Milwaukee offense that has quite a bit of talent, but that hasn’t really taken off yet this season.  So far the Brew Crew is hitting just .223 as a team and averaging 4.6 runs per game.  Those numbers drop to .208 BA and 3.7 runs per game on the road, which doesn’t bode well with this game at New York.  Besides having the edge on the mound and in the batters box, I also love the fact that the Mets have put together an excellent bullpen for the 2009 season.  This has been their biggest problem in the past and the bullpen has been very strong so far this year.

Free Pick Records:

CBB: 51-36
NBA: 26-32
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1
MLB: 7-3 (+401)

I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer and stop by every day for more free NBA picks from top handicappers.

Jack, I was all over San Diego last night along with Washington and my BEST BET Toronto -1.5 runs and I got a PUSH on the OVER 10 in Philly & wash. also hit the parlay with above plays.

I too like the Mets today to get back on track against a struggling Brewers team @ NY

    BOL Jack!!!

You’re free picks were almost too good to be true. I’m going to keep picking them, although a Free Pick record of 7-4 looks more like free picks than an 8-3 record. That 7-0 stretch was amazing Jack, maybe you’ll keep giving the bums some food…. Thanks.

To be a free pick, it looks good but as you said the brews bats have not started to hit and what a better way to start hitting that against Livan Hernandez, but to he is 7-6 with a 3.77 ERA against the Brewers, and the opposing pitcher Dave Bush is 15-26 on the road with a 5.18 ERA, therefore I will have to agree with the METS, but I will also take the Over 9.5.

Jack, I see your record in free picks imclude a 4-0 in NHL, Why dont you make more free picks pf it? and now play-offs began its a good moment to get the 5-0.
