Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 4/20

Written April 20, 2009 by Jack Jones

mavs-spursSpecial 2-for-1 Offer!  So many of you have been taking advantage of our special offer that I’m going to keep it going for the foreseeable future.  I’ll offer a matching subscription of my service when you buy any of these four handicappers: Mike Lineback, Steve Merril, Rocky Atkinson, and Jimmy Boyd.  Lineback is on an incredible run in the NBA and just lowered his NBA playoff package to $155, which I think is a great buy.  Steve Merril is currently doing extremely well in the MLB and has dominated all sports through the years.  Rocky does a great job at all sports, but he dominated the NHL this year and with the playoffs having started, he’s the guy I’d choose to follow if you are interested in hockey. Then there is Jimmy Boyd who has done a great job in all sports since the beginning of the year, just like he has in years past.  If you want to buy a subscription of any of these guys, I’ll give you the same subscription for my service as well.  You have to email me your username, plus that you are taking me up on my offer to get this deal.  There is no automation behind this.

Today: We got back on track yesterday with our 20* winning on the Toronto Blue Jays, plus lucked out with Texas and the Lakers made us sweat more than we should have.  3-2 day overall gives us a nice profit and we look to do the same on Monday.  Tonight I have a 20* NBA No-Brainer on the Bulls/Celtics.  I’m 41-23 on my last 64 in the NBA, so I feel pretty good about the first BEST BET I have posted in the playoffs.  Also on tap is an MLB 15*.  Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the baseball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.

Free Premium Picks: Comment on my free pick article for today over at Betfirms.com.  Tell me why you agree or disagree with today’s free pick and get tonight’s 15* MLB play for FREE!  Keep in mind that I send this play out to everyone in one batch, usually around 4pm.

Free Picks for Monday

So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.

15* on Dallas Mavericks +6.5 over San Antonio at Bookmaker

The value is with Dallas tonight as everyone expects the Spurs to bounce back from their loss to the Mavs in Game 1.  This just isn’t the same San Antonio team you have come to expect in the playoffs as Tim Duncan is severly hampered with his knee problems and Manu Ginobili being out due to the stress fracture in his ankle.  The Mavs dominated the paint in Game 1 and would have blown out the Spurs if San Antonio didn’t shoot so well from behind the arc.  You can’t expect to keep shooting that well from outside.  Dallas was on a roll to end the season in winning five of their last six games and I think they will keep that momentum going tonight in San Antonio.

Free Pick Records:

CBB: 51-36
NBA: 26-33
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1
MLB: 9-3 (+601)

I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer and stop by every day for more free NBA picks from top handicappers.

Jack, You hit it right on the head Duncan not being 100% and Genobili OUT, the Spurs are at LESS than 100% and will be NO MATCH for the Mavs once again!!! I am going to risk 1/2 of my wager on the MONEYLINE.

    BOL Jack!!

well i have to disagree because i think the spurs do show up tonight and this team of veterans finds a way to get the win after getting beat by the mavs last game. however i have to think that the game stays a little closer than 6.5 points unless the mavs forget how to play basketball. hope the vegas fix isnt called in to the refs on this one. take the points because its the smarter play. good luck jack.

i believe the spurs will pull it out even tgough thet did look bad the last halfl u can expect spurs to hit 3 pointers every game cause it comes from a variety of players. also expect that the spurs coaches went to the league to complain about what they thought were missed fouls and look for tonight to start with a lot of touchy fouls.

For some, the first game may have come as a surprise. Even for those of us who were on Dallas in the first game, it must have come as some surprise, given the trouble Dallas has had with San Antonio all those years. Now that they have won the first game, Dallas should be able to put a way San Antonio within seven, but don’t be surprised if San Antonio wins and covers today. As one team plays more relaxed and the other with more urgency,I see the two teams tied after today’s game. I’ll pass on this one.

I like the pick but I do not think Dallas will win this game tonight. The Spurs will be hungry and will be out to prove something. I fell like they will win the game, but it will be within 6 so Dallas will win with the spread. Should be a great game to watch though.

I watched that last game, spurs built up a big early lead only to see it disappear. They seem to be old and out of gas, like someone already stated I think + 6 1/2 are a gift, Moneyline is great value here.

    Great analysis.
But the Spurs will prevail tonite – Pop know they must do it tonight or it’s over.
In fact, I predict they win tonite and then Dalls runs the table 4-1.

Ouch!! Went with you here Jack, but i guess no one saw Parker stepping up like he did.

I went with Dallas outright in the 1st game and also went on the Over in the 1st (186 total). Both hit! Easy! Thought this one was a lock too on the spread….+6.5.

I still think the Mavs will close this one out winning the next 3…we shall see! They just need some more consistency from Dirk (he stunk in this one!) and they can get it done…
