Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 4/25

Written April 25, 2009 by Jack Jones

hornets-nuggetsNew Special Offer!  I have a special offer for all of my readers.  BetUS is offering to pay for a weekly subscription for anyone who is willing to just sign up for a NEW account and give their site a look around.  All you have to do is sign up for a NEW account and take a look at what their site has to offer.  Then, email me your account number over there so I can verify with them that I sent you and I’ll give you a weekly subscription of my services!  Plus, if you deposit $100 into your NEW account, I’ll give you my NBA playoff pass for free!  This is on top of all the extra bonuses and special offers currently going on at BetUS.  If you deposit $500 and tell them we sent you, not only will you get a 6 month package of my plays, but BetUS gives you a $500 match bonus!

Today: A 6-3 day yesterday that could have been even better if the Marlins didn’t give up 7 runs in the 9th and the Orioles could have held on late as well.  Still we will take that nice little profit ever day and we look for another HUGE day on Saturday with a 7-for-1 package that includes FOUR NBA games and THREE in MLB action.  We have a BEST BET in the NBA and one in baseball, so a big day of action ahead.  Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the baseball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.

Free Premium Picks: Comment on my free pick article for today over at Betfirms.com.  Tell me why you agree or disagree with today’s free pick and get tonight’s 15* MLB play for FREE!  Keep in mind that I send this play out to everyone in one batch, usually around 4pm.  Remember if you want ALL OF MY PREMIUM PLAYS for one week all you have to do is sign up for a new account at BetUS and tell them BetFirms.com sent you!  No deposit necessary!

Free Picks for Saturday

So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.

New Orleans -4.5 over Denver Nuggets at 5 Dimes

I think New Orleans dictates the pace today and gets the tempo down to a style that they can win with. The Nuggets are 21-20 on the road this year but have been outscored by their opponents. New Orleans was a solid 28-13 at home, scoring 5 more points per game than their foes and holding them to 6 points less per game than they did on the road. Denver has hit over 50% of their shots and over 50% from behind the 3-point line in the first two games of the series, but don’t expect them to have the same kind of success here early in the morning against New Orleans.

Free Pick Records:

CBB: 51-36
NBA: 26-34
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1
MLB: 11-6 (+436)

I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer and stop by every day for more free NBA picks from top handicappers.

I disagree Jack. Even if the Hornets happen to win they wont cover the spread. The nuggets have too much offense and have been playing good defense. Hornets may come out strong playing at home but the Nuggets will keep pace.

I think Chris Paul could “will” this into a correct pick, but Denver is really good and New Orleans isn’t playing well. Think I’ll stay away from this one.

I think I will take Denver to cover and possible win. Denver has covered three straight games against the Hornets, I do not see that coming to an end Today.

Chris Paul will do his circling routine in the paint, eat up clock, then decide what to do with the ball. If Stoyacovic hits from the outside, Chandler becomes a man, and West doesn’t have a crying tantrum then they might just win and cover the game. If they don’t get it together, Denver will continue to dominate. I’d rather take the UNDER 197 here, a more probable outcome.

I like it, after getting blown out twice they should be able bounce back today, Also the Under is good to if you think the NO Hornets dictate the Pace.

    -4 1/5 & Under 196.5

i think this line is right where it should be and is too close to call. it could go either way for the cover so im laying off and playing baseball while everyone is focused on watching the nba playoffs. good luck.

I feel like those of us on the Hornets got a tough break with how they finished the game, but those of you who were with me for the BEST BET on the UNDER stuck it out for a nice win. Hopefully from the writeup here on the Hornets you had a pretty good idea that I liked the UNDER as well.
