Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 4/27

Written April 27, 2009 by Jack Jones

dodgers-giants

Today: A perfect 3-0 sweep of the board yesterday in MLB action, and a lucky push for us on the Bulls -3.  Let’s keep up the winning here on Monday with a 3-for-1 in baseball action, including our 20* MLB No-Brainer.  NBA will be posted this afternoon as there are a few more things I want to check out, but expect a game or two to be listed on the premium side.  Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the baseball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.

Free Premium Picks: Comment on my free pick article for today over at Betfirms.com.  Tell me why you agree or disagree with today’s free pick and get tonight’s 15* MLB play for FREE!  Keep in mind that I send this play out to everyone in one batch, usually around 4pm.  Remember if you want ALL OF MY PREMIUM PLAYS for one week all you have to do is sign up for a new account at Bodog and tell them BetFirms.com sent you!  No deposit necessary!

Free Picks for Monday

So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.

First off I want to make sure that you guys know about another handicapper on our site, Jordan Haimowitz.  He posts his articles each day with picks on the games he likes and he’s currently 33-11 and 13-3 with his BEST BETS.  Check out his Cardinals/Braves predictions for today and also check back to see if he posts anything later in the day.

LA Dodgers -127 over San Francisco Giants at Sportsbook.com

The Giants have won five of their last six after blowing a late lead last night to the Diamondbacks, but they have been playing other poor hitting teams.  That won’t be the case here tonight when they face the Dodgers, who are batting .291 this year while scoring 5.8 rpg.  Barry Zito may have had some success against a poor hitting Padres team last time out, but 10 days ago against the Dodgers he gave up six runs and four walks in five innings of work.  It doesn’t help Zito’s cause that the Dodgers are 4-0 against left-handers this year with a .301 batting average.  The Giants just don’t have the fire power to keep with the Dodgers, so I’ll take the road favorite here tonight.

Free Pick Records:

CBB: 51-36
NBA: 26-36
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1
MLB: 11-6 (+436)

I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer and stop by every day for more free NBA picks from top handicappers.

Good pick. Zito has been awful for years now and had one lucky start last game. The Dodgers will maul him!

well said mike s. i agree with you. zito had a great outing last start and is therefore getting respect from the oddsmakers this start but those of us who know barry know that he wont have two good starts in a row. i look for the dodgers to win by 2+ runs as they blast zito for atleast 4 runs in the first 5 innings. good luck. love this play!

Zito was a great pitcher a few seasons ago, but his day has come and gone. Dodgers pound him hard.

I like L.A. Should be some runs scored in this one. Jack, I’m waiting on your next run – like the one you had a while back. The free picks and the comp’s were on fire. You must have hit 16 or 17 out of 21.

Hey Jack very nice pick. Bet on those Giants yesterday and they screwed me in the 9th. So can anybody tell me what a 15 star pick is? guessing it has the best chance of winning in jack’s mind.

I don’t normally like a play where Joe Public is all over, but this looks solid. LA will be looking bounce back after the beating the rockies hit them with and what better team than your hated Rival in its own yard.
