Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 4/6

Written April 6, 2009 by Jack Jones

rangers-indiansSpecial 2-for-1 Offer for Monday!  Yesterday I told you about two other handicappers that are pretty solid, John Martin in MLB and Jimmy Boyd in all sports.  Both of them went out and dominated again yesterday so I decided to put together a little special offer.  If you purchase either of those two handicapper today, I’ll give you an equal time subscription of my plays as well.   If you had been betting $100 on each game Jimmy Boyd’s put out since January 1st, regardless of units, you would be up almost $6,300!  Thus, if you want to buy a week and try him out, I’ll also give you a week of my plays as well.  If you sign up for a year, then you’ll get a year of my plays as well at NO EXTRA COST!  ***Special Note*** You have to email me your username, plus that you are taking me up on my offer to get this deal.  There is no automation behind this.

I’m ready to bounce back after another tough 20* loss yesterday on the Spurs/Cavs total.  That’s two days in a row where a single point has cost us the money.  Today’s 20* comes in MLB action, where I also have an early 15* total and then my 15* play on the National Championship game between Michigan State/North Carolina.  I might add a baseball play or two in there as I go along as well.  Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the NCAA basketball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.

The run to March Madness is on at SPORTSBETTING.COM.  They have great bonuses for new customers, plus re-load bonuses for subsequent deposits.  Head to SPORTSBETTING.COM today, signup for a new account, and enter their huge March Madness contest!

Free Premium Picks: Comment on my free pick article for today over at Betfirms.com. Tell me why you agree or disagree with today’s free pick and get today’s MLB 15* play! I send the free premium picks out in one batch today around 5 PM EST, so if you post after they’ve been sent you’ll get tomorrow’s play.

Free Picks for Monday

So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer. Where do I find these lines? Check out our NBA odds and college basketball lines pages to see which sportsbook has the best number!

Texas Rangers +111 over Cleveland Indians at Sportsbook.com (Dime Lines for Baseball All Summer Long)

I’m going with the Rangers today at home against the Indians.  A lot of people are going to hate going against Cliff Lee the way he pitched last year for the Indians, but this guy was lit up in the spring for 46 hits and 33 runs in just 21.2 innings of work.  I know the regular season is a different game, but I think those numbers are a sign that this year he won’t be able to repeat his AL Cy Young numbers from a year ago.  In 2007 he made 16 starts and posted a 6.29 ERA and in 2006 he was 14-11 with a 4.40 ERA and 1.41 WHIP.  Basically I’m not sold he’s made the jump so I’ll take the potent Ranger line up this afternoon.

Free Pick Records:

CBB: 51-36
NBA: 26-32
NHL: 4-0 (+665)
CFB: 3-1
NFL: 4-1
MLB: 0-0 (+0)

I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer and stop by every day for more free NBA picks from top handicappers.

I don’t know how to bet on Baseball, is anyone can help?

It’s mostly on the money line Vincent. So the team you bet on just has to win the game, doesn’t matter by how much or how little. The (-) sign such as -135 means you have to bet $13.5 to win $10, or that’s the ratio depending on your bet amount. The (+) sign means +135 would be bet 10 to win 13.5. I hope that helps.

Nobody gets pumped up for opening day like the starting pitcher. Whatever Cliff Lee’s troubles were in the pre-season games are sure to be replaced with adrenilene. I like the pick.

Douglas – I’m on the Rangers today. From what you wrote I get the feeling you though I was backing Lee, which is not the case.

I like that, I think the Rangers had a great spring batting wise too so they might jump on him early.
I like fading pitchers in their first start who had a bad spring. That is why I took NYY on the RL-130, Balt-Guthrie had a rough spring. Guthrie has a 12.32 ERA between the World Baseball Classic and spring training, according to the Baltimore Sun. The Yankee lineup should be able jumnp on him.

I think the rangers have too many good hitters for cliff Lee to stop them, especially since the Rangers are at home for the opener.

I dont know about this one. I’m from Little Rock so I guess I’m a homer for Cliff Lee, but the Rangers have never been able to pitch well and the Indians arent bad at all. Go Tribe, sorry Jack
