Written June 13, 2009 by Jack Jones
5 MLB plays going Saturday, including a 20* moneyline No-Brainer that gets started at 4:05 PM EST. We split last night, hitting an easy under on the Dodgers/Rangers, and just missing the under in the Rockies/Mariners game, which went over by just a run. Currently on a 10-4 run with 20* plays overall and up +1747 units in baseball this season! Get all 5 plays for Saturday from the #1 ranked MLB handicapper in 2009! Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the baseball picks & NBA picks being released by our other top handicappers.
Free Premium Picks: I’m going to take a little break from the comment for a free pick offer. Instead I’m going to release one of my premium picks as the free pick over the next couple of days. The comment offer will be back shortly! You are still more than welcome to comment on today’s pick, I appreciate the feedback.
Free Pick for Saturday
So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.
You can find more great winners every day by visiting our sports betting forum. Handicapper Steve Janus won the college football title here at the site, and he’s giving away all of his baseball plays for FREE in the forum.
15* on Philadelphia Phillies -124 at Sportsbook.com
The Phillies are the play in Philadelphia against the Red Sox Saturday. Daisuke Matsuzaka is still struggling this year, going 1-2 with a 5.17 ERA and a 1.98 WHIP in his last three starts, which actually improved his overall numbers on the season to 1-4 with a 7.33 ERA and a 2.11 WHIP. Until Dice-K shows he can put together a quality start, the Red Sox are going to be in trouble when he steps on the mound. The Phillies are one of the better scoring teams in baseball, averaging 5.4 runs per game. Boston walked away with Game 1 in the series with a very strong outing from Jon Lester, but I doubt they will get the same support from Dice-K tonight. Take the Phillies.
CBB: 51-36
NBA: 26-38
NHL: 4-0 (+665)

I also post my free picks on Twitter so if you follow me there it may be easier to get the picks if you are away from your computer and stop by every day for more free baseball picks from top handicappers.

Got something to say?

nice free pick winner last night to get back on track. your premium picks would be even better if the ones you gave away for free werent on such a terrible run.

Phillies, eh?…….Bastardo has looked great in his few outings, but today he goes against a Boston team who is 15-7 against lefties averaging 5.5 rpg. Boston intimidated the Phillies yesterday adding more pressure to Bastardo’s game today. Dice-K has proven much this year but he’s had time enough to get his game together. I believe Dice-K shows up today and Boston once again pounces on the Phillies.

You make some good points, but I don’t like the idea that you are banking on Dice-K to show up just because he’s had time to get him game together. There’s nothing that points to that in my opinion, but I guess we’ll just agree to disagree and see how the game shakes out. Thanks for the comment!

Furthermore, Phillies are 2-8 at home when facing righties in evening game averaging just 4.5 rpg in that spot.

Jack, I know this is one of your pay picks, but, I have to disagree with you here. 1st of all, why did this game OPEN @ Phillies -115…. the RED flags started flying right away. Looking at the pitchers records and ERA’s (Matsuzaka 1-4 __ 7.33era)(Bastardo 2-0 __ 2.45) I really expected to see Philly -135 to -140 to open especially @ HOME. Now the public has moved the line to -130 and I hate to bet with the public. I look for Matsuzaka to pitch the game of his life and the Boston Bats to take control of this game. I also look for this game to FLY over the TOTAL 10.
With that said, BOL Jack!!!
