Jack’s Free Sports Picks: 8/7
Written August 7, 2009 by Jack Jones
Lots of action on Friday with a total of four premium plays! Three 15* plays, plus a 20* No-Brainer total! Back to back winners with our play last night going over the total by the 3rd inning! We are having a great season with a 135-108 record for +2,608 units with my last 243 picks, plus a 41-24 record with my last sixty-four 20* best bets, including hitting 8 of the last 12! Grab my package now at the Jack Jones home page or take a look at some of the baseball picks being released by our other top handicappers.
As of 7/31: I want to note that this is the time of the year when teams start calling up a lot of their young pitchers and position players. As a result, I am much more selective with my picks and will likely have fewer bets from here on out.
Free Premium Picks: I’m going to take a little break from the comment for a free pick offer. Instead I’m going to release one of my premium picks as the free pick over the next couple of days. The comment offer will be back shortly! You are still more than welcome to comment on today’s pick, I appreciate the feedback.
Free Pick for Friday
So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.

15* on Orioles/Blue Jays OVER 9 (-105) Sportsbook.com
This game could get ugly fast with a couple of volatile pitchers on the mound. It all starts with Jason Berken, who has been a mess for the Baltimore Orioles. Berken is 1-9 with a 6.93 ERA on the year, but has a 9.53 ERA and 1.85 WHIP in 5 road starts and a 8.78 ERA and 1.95 WHIP over his last three starts. Blue Jays starter, Ricky Romero has been better than Berken, but he has a 4.91 ERA and 1.69 WHIP over his last 3 starts. The Orioles average 4.6 runs per game, while Toronto is posting 4.9 runs per game. With these two starters you can expect at least one of these teams to go over their season average.
CBB: 51-36

NHL: 4-0 (+665)
