Free MLB Pick for Friday
So I know I’ve had this disclaimer about the free picks being the weakest plays and that I don’t play them, but I really put 1% of my bankroll on these games in comparison to 3-4% on the regular and BEST BETS. I just don’t want people getting ridiculous on the free picks when they aren’t intended to be the highest percentage of winners that I offer.
You can find more great winners every day by visiting our sports betting forum.
Jack’s Free Pick for Friday: St. Louis Cardinals -107 at 5DIMES
Looking back about a month ago, this was supposed to be a huge series for the Cubs & Cardinals. Now, it’s only a meaningful series for St. Louis in hopes of winning over home-field advantage throughout the postseason. The Cardinals have cooled off of late, losing 5 out of 6 to Atlanta and Florida, two teams who are fighting to stay alive in the Wild Card race. But the Chicago Cubs have nothing to play for, and you can expect St. Louis to be highly motivated in this series after a very bad week to put it lightly. The 42-year-old Smoltz (1-1, 3.27) made a comeback from shoulder surgery this year and was released by Boston after putting up an 8.33 ERA in eight starts, but the former Atlanta star has looked comfortable back in the NL, striking out 28 and walking one over 22 innings in his first four starts with St. Louis. Chicago lost their second straight game against Milwaukee last night, actually giving up 16 runs to the Brewers in the two losses combined. St. Louis had Thursday off, and the Cardinals are 8-1 in their last 9 games following an off day. Look for this re-focused team to come out swinging tonight at home. Take the Cardinals.
CBB: 51-36
