Editors Note: Jason Lowry has a big play going on the Jaguars Lions game this weekend, so get a great play at the right price today.

This weekend the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions are set to do battle in week 10 action of the NFL. Last week the Lions looked like they were going to get their first win of the season over the Bears, but couldn’t finish the job, so they remain winless at 0-8. They hope to change that this weekend at home against a Jaguars team that failed to keep the Bengals winless, as they lost on the road 21-19. When theses two teams lock up this week the oddsmakers have the Jaguars 6.5 point favorites over the Lions at BetUS.com

The Jaguars just don’t look like a good football team right now, as they continue to close games many thought this team would have no trouble winning when the season started. The offense can’t move the football, so its going to be interesting to see if this unit responds at all after their performance last week against the Bengals. Where the Jaguars mustered up only 78 yards on the ground, and Garrard had zero touchdowns to one interception. If this team continues to struggle to run the ball, they are going to continue to struggle winning games.

The Jaguars defense didn’t play terrible considering how much they were on the field, its just not good enough for this team to win games. They let Ryan Fitzpatrick complete 21 of 31 passes, and Cedric Benson to run for 104 yards. This week the defense faces a Lions team that has picked up their game of late, so it will be interesting to see if this unit responds with a big week to get the Jags back at least closer to .500. As for the Lions we have already mentioned that they have played well of late, and its hard to play well when you haven’t won a game, but this team looks much better than the team they put out on the field to start the season. Last week the Lions put up 23 in the 2nd quarter to take a 23-13 lead into halftime, but they failed to score the rest of the game and wound up losing 23-27. The Lions Dan Orlovsky continues to have something going with Calvin Johnson as the duo hooked up for 94 yards on 8 catches plus a score last week. Look for More of that this weekend, as the Lions running game has yet to be impressive.

The defense for the Lions on the other hand just doesn’t look like a unit that can really put together a full 60 minutes of quality play. They had the Bears down big early last week, and just had to hold on, but instead they let Rex Grosman come in and win the game. This defense is struggling there is no question, but maybe they can pull together and give the fans a big win at home this week. Bet Detroit +6.5 at BetUS.com
