Play Online Poker

Today we are going to take a look at the professional poker player Josh Arieh. He is one of the young stars on the poker tour who is talented and has a very aggressive style of play. He is another player that is sponsored by one of our favorite online poker rooms in BodogLife. After the 2006 season he had career winnings of nearly $4 millino and has been featured on ESPN, Fox Sports, the Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel and in news publications across the country.

Arieh is known for his aggressive and sometimes unpredictable style of play. He is widely regarded as a poster boy for the next generation of poker players. He hails from Rochester, New York, but now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. There isn’t a lack of confidence with this guy and some say he borders on arrogant.

You can frequently get a chance to play with Arieh at BodogLife at his own table. He represented Bodog at the National Heads-Up Poker Championship in which he knocked off Rene Angelil in the opening round. Angelil is the husband and manager of Celine Dion.

You can find Arieh playing in high profile tournaments across the United States, and he’s done quite well at the World Series of Poker. Back in 2005 he won his second World Series of Poker Bracelet in Pot Limit Omaha. He also has a third place showing at the 2004 Main Event and was runner-up in the 2000 WSOP Pot Limit Omaha event.

He won his first bracelet back in 1999 by winning a Limit Hold ‘em event. He was a virtual unknown before that $200,000 payday, but after that he burst on the poker scene in a bold way.

He also has several other tournament wins and final table appearances on his resume. He’s played for 12 years in the Atlanta area and earned a reputation as a difficult high-limit player who specializes in several different games. He’s entered into 150 tournaments with $10,000 or higher entry fees and has earned the respect of other players at the top level.

Arieh now leads quite the life. When he’s not playing poker, he operates his own web site and Poker School and pursues plenty of non-poker passions such as golf and other sports. He’s played some top courses and often gets field passes at the Atlanta Falcons games.
